The final assessment of his diagnosis was the same as he'd received in his college town @ Student Health, but the protocol as to how to manage his symptoms was different and he felt better quickly after making those changes. "If I could give no stars I would. Fouzia Mohammad is a horrible health care professional. Absolutely 0 class. 0 respect. 0 concern for her would be patient. I had a 4 o’clock appointment. Drove from the lake to be there. I stopped on my way due to a coughing attack and shortness of breath, I could not drive. I took a half hour break and because of that was going to be a half hour late to my appointment. I called to let them know I’d be late and to verify that I would hopefully still be able to get seen. Fouzia picked up the phone and told me if I’m past 10 minutes late she would not see me. I asked why? It’s a walk in clinic and I would still be there by 4:30 when they close at 5. She said “our policy” I said ok and hung up and called back. Sonja answered. Who is a saint. She said it’s 15 minutes not 10 and in that case we just move you to the end of the line and treat you as a walk in. Great! Perfectly understandable I’m fine with that. I get there and Fouzia is at the desk. I ask if she is who told me 10 minutes or she wouldn’t treat me. She said yes and I asked why. Without giving an answer she said “if this is going to be a hostile confrontation I won’t treat you” at which point I was honestly shocked. I said what is hostile I’m just trying to ask you a question . Why would you tell me you won’t treat me? I am really sick. I’m really in need. She refused to see me. Sonja then came out and assured me she’d treat me if I remained calm. I assured her I was calm, Fouzia is the only one suggesting otherwise and all I did was ask a question. Sonja said Fouzia was the only person there that could treat me. I explained that’s fine I’d go somewhere else tomorrow bc I don’t want someone who obviously doesn’t care about me to provide me with medical attention. She understood and got me in to the 291 hyvee clinic. I arrived at 4:52 when they close at 5 and could not have asked for better care. Absolute kudos to 291 clinic. Dr C Kirker was amazing along with her receptionist and also Sonja! You 3 were wonderful and I’m extremely thankful. Fouzia Mohammad I am shocked and appalled with your absolute neglect to a person in need. Did you not take a vow? Pledge your allegiance? Who are you to strong arm a person in need and refuse service do you can go home a few minutes earlier? And to go even further and TRESPASS me from hyvee. Claim that I was trespassing?? When all I did was express disappointment in your “give a f***” you are the epitome of unprofessional and I truly hope you lose your job and never have the opportunity to turn a person in need away ever again."
