Apple Park

The park was made possible through donations by the descendants of W.A. (Al) and Nellie Apple, who operated the waterworks for the citizens of Duenweg until 1956. Apple Park is dedicated to their memory and serves as a place for the community to come together and enjoy the outdoors. In addition to Apple Park, Bartley Park is another lovely location in Duenweg with a historical significance. The park is located where the Bartley family homestead once stood, behind the parking lot at 8084 E 7th Street. The Bartley family played a key role in the development of Duenweg, establishing mines and a blacksmith shop that helped the town grow into what it is today. Bartley Park is a peaceful spot where visitors can relax and reflect on the history of the area. Both Apple Park and Bartley Park are important landmarks in Duenweg, honoring the families who contributed so much to the community.
