"I have never had such a problem in my life with public services. not only do the people in the office have a horrible attitude and service, unfortunately my experience with the workers and the field is quite the same. I have never seen so many adults in my life act like small children with their pettiness. where are these people look at their job is an annoyance, and inconvenience. when people ask you a question for help, try not to get such an attitude, it's a good thing they all work for the city because I don't think they would last long in the private employment field. but their trash service people or by far the laziest and most ungrateful people employed by the city. they act like sensitive 13-year-old girls with their bitter attitudes and lazy work ethics, and they always complain. if you can I highly recommend burning your trash and inhaling the fumes directly over the fire while rubbing hot ash in my open eyes than to have to deal with their employees or services. unfortunately my neighborhood requires that I go through them, I honestly think that's the only reason why they are able to stay employed. believe it or not these "men" driving the trash truck actually pulled over to stop and call in and complain that my lid didn't shut completely. now I see a lot of people's like this so I didn't know it was a big deal but apparently they don't like me because my first week in this house I accidentally had the trash cans turned the wrong way and ever since then I've had Petty children doing my trash service for me, God forbid these workers take that so personally like it's a direct insult for them. it's almost laughable but then again it's really sad to think that these people are running our city services and that their fragile little ego is what is going to make the difference of the quality of your service. absolutely not worth a dollar but you got to I have it unfortunately. if it was legal to burn trash where I live I would do in a heartbeat. PS Liz from the office, lighten up and try not to be so nasty to people calling in, I hope you have a better day than whatever kind of day you're having before I talk to you ( I certainly hope that I just caught you at a bad moment because I can't see you staying in customer service if that is how you are to even 10% of people."
"Check your environmental trash bill with O'Fallon. I called to cancel our recycling bill today, and found out the extra $10.00 they have been charging us for 11 years, was for another grey trash can. All is states on our bill is "Extra Container", which doesn't identify the type of environmental container charge. So my husband, and I thought it was for that recycling trash can. So we have been paying for 11 years for a service they placed on our bill, and the representative, stated there policies will only go back 5 years on crediting you back for their mistake. Instead, she stated, it is the consumer's responsibility to bring figure it out. So, "EXTRA CONTAINER" one could infer it means the recycling container. That is free, and it doesnt state that on the bill either! Unfortunately, when it comes to the city, you can not choose other environmental services to pick-up your trash, so you get stuck with one, and your hands are tied. So, I explained to the representative, that I should not be responsible for their billing errors. I can't image how many other customers might be in a similar situation, and are unaware of this. The language is vague on the bill, there is no refund policy statement either on the bill, or online that I have been able to find, so please be careful, and understand that the blue container is free service (doesn't state on bill), and the grey container you are charged for. We live very busy lives, so it is easy to infer that "EXTRA CONTAINER, means it could very well be the blue container, as we were never told that service was for free. We are out close to $700.00 due to their negligence on our bill. Hopefully, they will do what any reputable company would do, and return our money back!"
"I called about my mail box being blocked by the snow from the snow plow. Within an hour someone was out removing the snow. I live at 15 Twin Hollow Ct that was the best service I have ever received . Thank you to everyone that made that happened. This is why I love living in ofallon. Ms. Tilley"
"I have lived in and loved O’Fallon for most of my adult life. I had issues in the past that were resolved slowly, but with thousands of citizens it’s expected. I was not disappointed until recently when I stopped receiving a water bill and my water was then shut off. I called the after hours number after paying the bill as instructed on the website but the person answering the phone said there was nothing she could do to get my water back on tonight I would have to call at 8am to make sure it was reconnected. So at 8:01 I called the next day only to have a rude woman answer and when asking who’s name the bill was in I recalled I didn’t remove my ex from the bill.... now the fact I was not getting a bill was brought to light.... BUT... now she will not turn my water on until I put the bill in my name, pay an additional $150 ON TOP of the $60 disconnect fee I have already formed up. I am now without water for me and my child and have to rely on a piece of paper to get processed to get it turned back on. I’m not sure who this woman is that answers your phones in the office, but she has absolutely ZERO compassion. It’s 5 days before Christmas and I have paid my bill. If I don’t have water at my house tonight I might just loose my sanity. If O’Fallon cares so much about their residents I would hope that putting customer friendly people in that office would be a TOP priority. Sorry to vent on a google review. I love my town, but I do NOT enjoy having my amenities of my home threatened and disconnected over a silly form. I hope no one else has to deal with the office woman I had to deal with and if they do I hope she gives you more compassion than I have been shown after calling twice just to ensure everything was taken care of properly."
"So not happy with the way they run this place I've lived here for going on 11 years and I come home from work there's a blue flag in my yard , so I call and see what the problem is Chris says oh well it could be some one working in your area and they must of marked it because there going to be digging or some neighbors are getting something done , I then tell him that's werid I'm the only one with the blue flag on the whole block. he said oh well I see you're schedule for disconnect today.what.... really .... are you serious ????? ,let me check my water oh it's still on ?Oh they must had problems with turning it off so they marked it and they will be back . Well can I come up and pay and cancel out the shut off he says you can pay ,but it won't promise a shut off still , never got a notice nothing , just a bill which I've received a shut off notice in the past and I've always pay before disconnect . Also I was told I still was being charged for a shut off fee EVEN though It wasn't shut off and that I had to pay the 168.70 right now to guarantee no shut off tomorrow. That's with the fee. so I only owed 120 wow they are making a killing with putting a blue flag in my yard!!!!. it's absolutely ridiculous And honestly I went up there Friday to pay but they closed 10 mins before I got there and Saturday and Sunday there closed. Then I decided to just wait till i got off early one day to pay it before they close figured well I haven't received a disconnection so no need to worry or stress I'll just wait till I'm off work and go pay it. If I knew I was getting disconnected I would of took off work...... my family and I need water ! I'm not just gonna say oh well let's go with out water and I'll go up there when ever . No that's not the case . No notice nothing just charge people for a $40 blue flag is honestly ripping people off. Send the bill and::::::: say ::::due date pay or disconnected on that or this day..... thanks ofallon water and sewer for ruining my day!!!!!!! Then my children get off the bus come inside and there like mom some guy's in the yard .really so I go out there and say hey what are you doing ? He said I'm turning you're water on HELLO my water is on it was never shut off you and your people charged me a extra $40 bucks to put a blue flag in my yard and that poor guy .......I gave him a earful i know he's honestly just doing his job but to the rest of them( who run the office you make me want to move out of this town even more."
