"The camp itself is beautiful but it is a dangerously poor run organization. For being a non profit organization, the Y of Barry County (specifically Camp Algonquin) is strictly financially focused and cuts corners whenever possible. They jeopardize not only the safety of campers, but falsify records, and mistreat their employees. Do not send your child here, it is only a matter of time before their bad habits lead to tragedy. The bright side is that the organization’s youth sports and recreation department is very helpful for the community."
