"When I need anything in the hardware line, I go to Ace Hardware in Hastings first. I am always helped with politeness, efficiency, and patience. I am an 81-year-old Grandma with a fix-it-myself obsession, and they not only tell me where in the store I can find the item I am looking for, but often someone will walk with me and help me make the selection. They give me sound advice, and point out things that I would not have considered, even if it means changing my mind about buying something I thought I needed. The store is stocked with an incredible variety of merchandise, and when I have time to browse, I love to wander down their many aisles and just gawk. I'll take a small town store like Ace in Hastings over the big guys in the city where you have to search for someone to help you find what you came for."

"Hardly any of the staff are able to answer even basic level questions. They struggle to even run a point of sale effectively or completely. A cashier today didn't know how to manually look up items on the computer. They are also consistently rude, and act as if you are bothering them by asking for information. I'll be going elsewhere from now on."
