The SAY Detroit Family Health Clinic, located at 211 Glendale Avenue in Highland Park, Michigan, is a community health clinic with an on-site pharmacy that provides high-quality examinations, maintenance, and preventive healthcare for adults, regardless of their ability to pay. Open weekdays, the clinic offers services in gynecology, internal medicine, podiatry, physical therapy, dermatology, health coaching, and nutrition, with many staff members volunteering their time. Originally launched in 2008 to serve homeless children and their mothers, the clinic has expanded to provide care for adult patients with limited income, in transitional housing, or experiencing homelessness. Services are free for uninsured or underinsured patients who qualify, and the clinic accepts patients from across the Detroit area, averaging over 4,000 patient visits annually. In addition to medical services, the clinic offers support groups and programs for women, moms, and babies, including a monthly fitness event and a program for moms and babies in their first year. The clinic also provides COVID-19 diagnostic testing by appointment for adults and children, with safety measures in place to protect patients and staff.
