"I just had my second of two minimally invasive bunionectomies with Dr. Ryan and cannot say enough great things about him and his team. He teaches residents and colleagues how to use the special Arthrex tools to reduce the incision footprint (pun intended) from the old-fashioned, long cut to about 4 small incisions with about 2-3 stitches in each. This makes healing so much faster and less painful. You will be weight bearing from day one. I have recommended him to multiple people without hesitation. Don't live the rest of your life with painful bunions. It isn't pain free but not the nightmare you may have heard about from others who had traditional procedures. Go see Dr. Ryan and get it done! 3 months later you'll be out hiking, wearing shoes you love, and thanking yourself. (PS round-the-clock, safe icing, elevation and being the proper weight are all key to fast recovery, IMHO)."
