Drake Farmstead
β OpenDrake Farmstead, located at 927 North Drake Road in Kalamazoo, Michigan, is a historic tourist attraction that offers visitors a glimpse into the past. Originally purchased by Oshtemo Township in 2004 to save the historic brick farmhouse from demolition, the site has since been transformed into Drake Farmstead Park, which opened in 2021. The park features 26 acres of land that once belonged to the Drake family, offering a peaceful setting for nature walks and a chance to learn about the area's history. Volunteers are working to restore the native landscape and uncover the foundations of the old barns that once stood on the property.
