Daily passes are also available for those who do not have a membership. Certain areas of the SDC can be rented or reserved, with different rates for each specific area. Rentals and reservations are open to community members, student organizations, faculty, staff, and students. The pool and dive tank are licensed and inspected by the State of Michigan and the Western U.P. District Health Department. Michigan Tech students can access the pool through student fees, while faculty, staff, and community members can purchase SDC Access Passes. The facility also offers community swim lessons, aquatic fitness classes, Lifeguard certification courses, and Outdoor Adventure Programs.
