β ClosedYoung State Park is a stunning tourist attraction located on the eastern shore of Lake Charlevoix in Boyne City, Michigan. Spanning 563 acres of rolling terrain, lowlands, and cedar swamp, the park offers a variety of recreational activities for visitors to enjoy. With three modern campgrounds, overnight lodging facilities, a boat launch, a popular swimming beach, a picnic area, 6.5 miles of trails, and more, there is something for everyone to enjoy at Young State Park. Established in 1921, the park features a historic day-use building constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. Visitors can also access the Boyne City to Charlevoix Trail from the park, which links the cities of Charlevoix, Petoskey, and Harbor Springs.
