“Douglas Service Station is one of the jewels of the west. We first started coming to see Peter over 10 years ago. My wife said it was a huge relief to find a mechanic who was decent and didn't take advantage of her lack of expertise in things mechanical. We've brought three different cars to him over the years. He's scrupulously fair and goes out of his way to find efficient solutions at the cheapest price possible. One example: I needed to get a roadworthy certificate for my old car. Because he's so popular, Peter didn't have time to do it for several days, so I foolishly went to another garage - UltraTune on Barkly Rd - and was shocked when they quoted me over $1500! I knew that this was nonsense, so went back to Peter and sure enough he did the inspection and carried out the required work to get the car safely up to standard for less than a quarter of the price. I honestly can't recommend his business highly enough.”
