“Came in for steak night last night. Was served by Natalie. Natalie was very attentive, she fixed our table as she noticed it was crooked, would check up often to see if we wanted more drinks or food. Great service with a smile. Steaks were cooked well, chips were crunchy. Boss man with the glasses also has been very accommodating, excellent service as always. Atmosphere is fairly lively on the busier days. I much prefer the quieter nights though.”

“Best Restaurant I've been to in while. If you like a steak, this is the place to go, cooked to A1 meat lovers standards, just melts in your mouth. Great menu from entrees, mains and desserts, awesome drink menu, wide range of wines, and the best service, especially from our Waiter 'Steve', we will definitely be going back. If you know Dimo, it's the old fire brigade building, classy and affordable, and people who know what hospitality is all about. Try it, it's a must!!!!”

“A small restaurant with a HUGE personality, tucked away in an unexpected part of Mornington. Booking essential! We sat at the bar as a couple and were happy to watch the bar tender and have a chat. Larger groups would need a table. Delicious diner food - simple with generous portions and pricing. Cocktail menu offers something unique whilst a little pricier than other places (possibly the only downside). Love the vintage vibe, friendly staff and good tunes. Will be back to eat here and recommend to others.”

“We enjoyed a yummy dinner! Between our small group we had, oysters, the guacamole, corn fritters, all 3 Burgers, the prawn tostada and dessert. Everything was very yummy! We were all full by dessert, but couldn't resist. So glad we didn't. It was divine. Great drinks, though we kept it fairly simple. Thanks to the lovely staff too.”

“There is not much better than a good meal of smoked meat. I've struggled to find BBQ joints in Australia that rival the wonderful little hole in the wall BBQ joints of the USA. Today I found it. The Smokery is tiny and intimate, but packs huge and complex flavors. I tried the Dirty Brisket burger. It was dang near perfect. The redwood smoke flavour infused into the brisket and pork is not overpowering but lingers in the mouth like a wonderful scotch. This is exactly what the best BBQ master's strive to achieve.”

“Small and simple Tap House. A very good selection of beers covering a classic style spectrum from their delightful light, and very sessionable Grisette, to a beautifully heavy, dark Porter. It's all brewed locally in very small batches too. They have a small but good food menu which accompanies the beer well. If you have non-beer drinkers with you, then they also offer a selection of wines. Add to this staff who are knowledgeable, dedicated, and provide excellent service, and you have a very compelling proposition for a casual drink with good friends. Highly recommended.”

“Heartwood would be hands down my favourite place in Yarra Glen! We had the set menu and it was mind blowing. They accommodated so well for gluten free which is always a bonus! All the local wines from the match wine menu were delicious, especially the riesling! We loved sitting by the cosy fire!”

“Tried Kippers today for the first time. WOW! Great service and food. I ordered flake, scallops and potato cakes, best I have had. Light, crispy batter, flake and scallops were moist and fresh. I have had the same order elsewhere locally and nowhere near as good or priced as well as Kippers. Great to sit at the outside tables. I highly recommend them, and I am definitely going back. My new favourite fish and chip shop. Look forward to trying the burgers.”
