So find out.....and go, wait " I'm not finished yet!" It deserves the ticket price...”

Guardian Childcare & Education St Kilda South (formerly Tree House)
● Closed“My daughter has been attending Guardian St Kilda South since she was 4 months old, the educators made it so easy for me to return to work. Being a first time mum, I was nervous and anxious of how she would go but after her first orientation I knew she was in the best hands. Now when we arrive at the centre, she just can't contain her excitement the moment we step into the service. The centre has such a lovely community feel to it with amazing and caring educators.”

If you don't own a car do not worry because there is bus stops at the door and 2 train stations at a walking distance. If you are looking for a affordable place to stay this is the place. The people that are staying here are amazing. You can really build good friendships here. Enough said you have to experience it for yourself. .”

Kinderclub Child Care Centre
● Closed“Our daughter has been attending Kinderclub for over two years. We have always felt at home with the carers and love the family dynamic of the shared environments inside and out. While the facilities may not be as flash as some, the team has a big heart and offers the support, guidance, and nurturing that children need to explore their interests and new ideas. We love that the centre is always evolving with monthly programs, improvement projects, cultural exploration, and sustainable/green initiatives. Thanks for all you do for our family!”

Artea - Art School & Party Venue
● Closed“My daughter had her 8th birthday party here. I found Helen and her team very organised, professional and they are fantastic with kids! Helen took the time to explain how the party works, she took care of everything while I managed to take photos and even be in the photos. We did the clay party which included food, the art activity, a disco and pass the parcel. We were so impressed with the party that I enrol my daughter in art based activities at Artea during the school holidays. I definitely recommend Artea for kids parties and their art classes.”

Extreme Escape
● Closed“They do a great job here to ensure that everyone has as good a time as possible. We went during the week and were given some extra time and tips to help ensure we made it through. The rooms aren't easy if you're a newbie, so your problems solving skills will be challenged.”

Theatre Works
● Open“I had a terrific "right time, right place" experience here over the weekend ... having stayed at an AirBnB the night before a few doors down Acland St I dropped in for a cup of coffee and there was a read-through / rehearsal of a play called "Midwest Scouse" about to start. What a great start to a Sunday morning with no real plans to rush off for ! The place itself is great, the staff very friendly and they definitely brew each and every coffee with a lot of love. Fab location with a tree covered courtyard out front. I thoroughly enjoyed the read-through of the play, local drama productions is something I have always enjoyed and not had the kind of time for I'd like. The play-write, director, and actors all put together a tour-de-force that will not disappoint punters who go to see the final product. Thank you to everyone at Theatre Works who put in so much work on this show and gave me the opportunity to see it coming along all for the price of a cup of coffee. It's these little experiences being in the right place at the right time that create some of the most special memories.”

Bald Hill Park
● Open“A great place situated in the centre of oakleigh south. Amazing and huge park for dogs with an off leash area. There are a lot of dogs that come to this park so it would great if you want to socialise your dog with others. Be mindful that the park is not fenced, so if you fur buddy is prone to running, this park may not be suitable. This park also has a dog exercise area with cleaning supplies provided by the council. Highly recommended for a good hour of play”

Palais Theatre
● Closed“We went to our first comedy show at the Palais Theatre. It was so beautiful inside due to the age of the building and the features of the ceilings, carpets and fireplaces. We sat three rows from the top so I was a bot nervous as I am scared of heights.”
-
Skinners Adventure Playground
● Closed“This is a great whimsical playground that immediately felt like it has a lot of history behind it once you walk through the gate. It feels like a place where children can take risks, excercise their imagination and go on a big adventure with whatever story they can cook up with. There are also interesting art and doodles all around the area that set it apart from modern playground which can be too safe and bland.”

Luna Park Melbourne
● Open“Didn't realise when went there at 11am on a Sunday morning would need to queue for 20 minutes before we got in, even though we had brought entry tickets online. But once inside, fantastic! However for reasons I can't explain the first thing I did was get on the Dragonboat ride, which in my day was the Pirate Ship, with a friends 14 year old son. We sat right at the back and then I thought I should move 2 rows down, Thank goodness. Oh my when I did this as a teenager I found it exhilarating but not so today, I was basically holding on for dear life and couldn't wait for it to end, I think if I was in back row I would have been in tears! After that shock went on the Ghost Train which was well, lame. Then husband and teenager went on the Spider. Went on other (sedate) rides and had a go at the Laughing Clowns that have bettered me for the years I have been feeding balls into their mouths. We also had takeaway coffees (soy latte and flat white), hot chips and good old hot jam donuts. Went to gift shop but disappointingly didn't have tshirt size I wanted. We were there for 2 hours and really needed 3 hours. Will go back because unfortunately today Scenic Railway down for maintenance and want to go on that, though after my experience on the Dragon Boat who knows.”
