Welcome to the Westport Fire Department - Station 2, proudly serving the community from our state-of-the-art facility located at 85 Briggs Road, Westport, Massachusetts. As a cornerstone of safety and emergency response, Station 2 is a testament to our town's commitment to public safety and preparedness. Originally opened in 1970 as Westport's first town-owned fire station, our facility has evolved to meet the growing needs of our community. After significant expansions, including a 4-bay addition in 1999, Station 2 now accommodates our dedicated team of firefighters and a fleet of diverse emergency response vehicles. These range from fire suppression and medical rescue to water rescue and recovery units, ensuring comprehensive emergency response capabilities.

Welcome to the Horseneck Point Life-Saving Station, a unique historical gem located at 241 East Beach Road in Westport, Massachusetts. Managed by the Buzzards Bay Coalition, this state-owned station is part of the Horseneck Beach State Reservation and offers a fascinating glimpse into Westport's rich maritime history. Originally built in 1888 by the Humane Society of Massachusetts, the Life-Saving Station was one of 69 coastal rescue stations established to aid mariners in distress along Buzzards Bay’s treacherous coastline. After a storied past as a restaurant, bar, and even an ice cream parlor, the station was meticulously restored to its original appearance in 2009 and reopened as a museum and visitor center in 2014.
