"Do yourself a favor and make this an absolute last resort if you're looking for a place to rent. If you decide to, just stay 1 year. Believe all the negative reviews. As a resident, no one is ever in the office, they don't answer calls or return messages. I've had a leak in my bedroom every time it rains and they offered me a fan! Lol. I have leaks in the living room and kitchen and open work orders for all and nothing has been done. Also not to mention the roaches, the rats outside and the overflow of trash. They don't have 2 parking spaces for you if you have 2 vehicles so consider that. There are 2 visitor spots total for the 2 buildings and those spots have been permanently occupied by residents 2nd vehicles and have not moved since the summer lol. If you have the time you will see Connecticut on the corner and Jersey next to it. Those are the only 2 vehicles in the visitor spots and if they move they just alternate with their 2nd vehicle. What does the leasing office tell you? Street parking but you will get ticketed. The smell of marijuana is also a problem its alllll over. It's legal yes but when you have kids smoking on the stairwell is a problem. They changed locks and won't give keys out saying residents are letting these people in when I bet it has nothing to do with the handle being broken and people being able to come in whenever. Packages get stolen and cameras don't seem to work. Or they are there for decorations. I know you will thank me for the review and tell me I can stop by the office but I have lol. It's ok just letting the people know how it really is here. This place is ran by itself there really isn't any management. You also have maintenance with a parking spot but parks on the employee spot. But they don't have extra spots to rent you. If you have visitors ask them to uber here or better yet, don't have them come here as there is no place for them to park. God forbid you park on the side of the building you will get towed or even on the employee spots when off duty you will ge towed. Long story short....BELIEVE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS they are not lying."

"The inquiry that says “guarantees” your lease start date and price is a lie. They will take your deposit and try to move you in 4 months earlier then you would like. They are also extremely slow in responding. Looks like you need a reputable attorney if you ever want to live here."

"Whenever I read negative reviews, I try to be objective but unfortunately, all the bad reviews for The Box District proved to be true! We applied for an apartment via their website and paid a deposit but nobody got back to us for almost two weeks! Such a great inconvenience considering we were going to be travelling from out of state to secure a place before arrival. No emails or phone calls were returned until I left a voicemail demanding my deposit or they would hear from my attorney. Somehow this message was miraculously returned quickly, with excuses on how their system was down. Hmmm, two weeks?? What kind of business waits two weeks before resolving system outage problems? I'll patiently wait for my deposit within the timeframe stipulated by state law but if I don't get it back, they will definitely hear from my attorney. Companies need to be held accountable for things like this."

"I don’t even know how people can move in since you can’t reach the leasing office. Called and emailed 3 times, never heard anything. Tried to visit the leasing office, was told she was on lunch (at 1:30? Her sign said 12-12:30) and to come back at 2:30. Came back, she’s still not there. If they ignore possible applicants this much, I can’t imagine how bad needing to speak to them about a problem is. But from what I saw of the outside? Unremarkable. Very crowded and busy street, and it’s directly in front of a train stop so I have to imagine the noise is horrendous."

"Great location and safe area! The apartments are amazing with awesome amenities as well. It’s the most ideal location minutes from downtown Boston. The Management Office Team were very friendly, professional, and attentive consistently. They were able to answer all my questions. The Maintenance Team also did a great job with how well the Buildings were cleaned and maintained. The Box District is a great property and I strongly recommend it to others!"
