This nine-acre site preserves the last undeveloped parcel from the Battle of North Point, a crucial event during the War of 1812. On September 12, 1814, Maryland militia soldiers defended Baltimore against invading British forces on this very field, with Brigadier General Stricker leading the charge. Each September, the battlefield commemorates the bravery and resilience shown by the citizens of Baltimore during the Battle of North Point.
