Meadowbrook Athletic Complex

The land passed through several families, including the Talbots, Dorseys, Howards, and Weems, who owned enslaved people. The property was later purchased by Theodorick Bland and named "Blandair." The land changed hands several times until it was purchased by Henry and Lillian Smith in 1937, who resisted efforts to develop the land into the town of Columbia.
