Bailey Park, located at 10271 Wincopin Circle in Columbia, Maryland, is a new addition to the Columbia Lakefront area. Named in honor of WWII veteran and philanthropist Vivian C. "Millie" Bailey, the park was officially opened by the Columbia Association (CA) in a special ceremony attended by community members and local officials. The park, run by the Howard County Recreation and Parks Department, features a play area for kids and will be a place for the community to gather and grow. With plans to add a "free speech" zone and a monument to honor veterans, Bailey Park is set to become a popular destination in Downtown Columbia.
