"I have been a client of Paula Moylan at Core Counseling for many years. When I think about how I have grown in mental & emotional maturity through many trials & tribulations, I have no doubt, it’s because of all the work I’ve done with Paula. She brings grounding & clarity when everything feels impossible. The strength that has grown within me is from exceptional guidance. And I’m a life learner in the battles of mental illness within my family. Bottom line, life is a bit easier when someone is there to help you untangle complex knots. Maquerite Laban has been our family counselor along the way. She is thoughtful and compassionate in guiding our group sessions. As a family, we move forward together with her guidance. We trust in the process of therapy and it helps makes our communication mindful at home. Having Marquerite to hold us accountable is great. As a client of Core Counseling since it’s establishment, I’ve watched the enthusiasm in building this practice along the way. The intention behind everything they do is to bring the best in mental wellness forward into the community. I have no doubt, when I refer friends here they will find exactly what they need. "This place is awful. I took my son here with hopes of getting him tested before kindergarten. It took me almost a week to get in touch with some one to make the the initial appointment. After the initial appointment, I have to admit that it was easier to schedule as I was in direct contact with the counselor. That being said, the testing was broken down into 5 sessions (not a problem) Here is where the problem lies...it took 3 MONTHS after the testing was completed to get the report! I sent countless emails with no response. My pediatrician made countless phone calls and emails before finally getting in touch with someone. As a special educator I have administered these tests and have had to write reports. While I find the results valid it was poorly written and redundant. Parts were obviously cut and pasted because there was another child’s name in the report. I have paid my co-pays every time I got a bill in the mail. Two months after we stopped seeing them I received a bill in the mail for 125 dollars, I have attempted to get in touch with their billing department (which consists of one person) three or four times to discuss this bill and once again no one has returned my calls. I would NOT recommend this counseling service to my worst enemy!"

"I called their scheduling line for two days to make my first appointment but nobody answers the phones. It’s one of those places that makes you leave a voice message so they can call you back at their convenience. I submitted a form online to be seen and got a response a day later, from Tracey Hefferner, the intake coordinator. She appeared interested in getting me scheduled and told me she could be reached by phone and email. I responded immediately to schedule via email but another day passed with no response. I told them a had anxiety and depression- I am also managing anger with poor service in the medical community being that I have cystic fibrosis and am forced to be in this community. Yet, I get terrible service from them before I could even schedule my first appointment. These people are either under staffed, don’t care about their community, or don’t know how to do their job efficiently enough. You can’t offer a scheduling line and an online submission service for appointments but not get back to people over the course of several days. I would not recommend going as even before your first appointment there are red flags. :0"

"I've been going here for about a year and a half. They're absolutely fantastic and I walked in here with not a clue what was going on with me. I still go to weekly sessions and feel like I have such a good support system, as well as insight on how to help myself, what exactly it is that I have, and tools necessary to guide myself forward. So grateful to have found this place!!"
