The park features a catch and release trout stream, designated hunting areas, and unmarked hiking and equestrian trails. Please note that the Maryland Park Service does not rent horses. The park is located between Maryland Routes 27 and 97, with parking areas at various road crossings over the river. Visitors should be aware of the unmarked "social" trails within the park, which are not maintained by park staff and should be used at your own risk. Plans are in place to develop an official trail system to replace these social trails.
