Visitors should be aware of the unmarked "social" trails within the park, which are not maintained by park staff and should be used at your own risk. Plans are in place to develop an official trail system to replace these social trails.
Agriculture is an important component of the park's management, and interested farmers can lease agricultural lands within the park for short-term agricultural use. The Department of Natural Resources is committed to preserving and enhancing the state's natural resources for present and future generations.
