The area is handicapped accessible and pets are welcome as long as they are kept on a leash. Horses are not permitted within the picnic areas. A service charge is required for entry into the picnic areas, with different rates for Maryland residents and out-of-state visitors. Payment is accepted in cash only. The picnic area also features a pavilion with lights, electric outlets, a large barbecue pit, and picnic tables, which can be reserved for events. Each pavilion can accommodate approximately 120 to 150 people.
