MedSTAR 3 Air Transport, located at 44174 Airport Road in California, Maryland, is a premier air and ground transportation service that transports approximately 6,000 patients each year to and from MedStar Health facilities in the Baltimore and greater Washington, D.C., area. Our fleet includes advanced medevac helicopters and ambulances, operated by highly qualified air and ground transportation teams to ensure that no patient is far from advanced care. The majority of our patients are transported between hospitals within the MedStar Health system and other major tertiary care centers in the Mid-Atlantic region, under the guidance of sending and receiving physicians. Our medical control physicians are available 24/7 for consultation with referring physicians and flight crews. We also work closely with local EMS systems to transport patients from accident scenes to Level One Trauma Centers.
