"The food is amazing. The largest chicken sandwich I ever seen. The smoked pork was delicious. The coconut water drinks were surprisingly delicious. If you want an authentic mom and pop experience, this is it. You have a buisness owner who owns the place, cooks the food, and hands it off to you. I cannot recommend this food enough."
"I came in for dessert and got a bread pudding with cookie butter topping. It was delicious, warm, and not too sweet. The cookie butter was a creamy speculoos type. I was also able to try their spices turkey chili which was really yummy."
"I have never felt the need to go back to a place and give the person on the other side of the counter a hug... Until now. Move aside KFC, Popeyes and Chick-fil-a, there is no space for you in this town. The symphony of flavors in that fried chicken sandwich was perfectly in tune. Cumberland you will see us again just for this fried chicken sandwich. The pictures don't do it justice but here they are. Also, get the bread pudding. Just trust me ( we got ours with caramel... Because... It's caramel). To top it all off... We weren't even that hungry. If that doesn't tell you how good it was, I don't know what will."
"Spent $44 on our dinner. First time customer. Ordered rice and gravy, which was pretty good, and the peach iced tea was delicious. However, the rest of the order was not correct and as I expected. I was not going to write this review, but after speaking to the owner first about my dissatisfaction, she argued with me, became very loud and defensive and frankly, her response was so out of character. I was just being honest and polite, but she just was the opposite. After Janey called me "nicey nasty" she offered a refund, which I declined as unnecessary. I know she has been through some struggles. I was just very surprised that this small business owner reacted to me as she did. She stated she has taken care of her customers for over five years, and I believe she has as there are many who love her food there. But, for this first-time customer, a little understanding and kindness would have gone a long way to my future business and recommendations. Kindness matters."
