“Nice place, good views upstairs and really friendly staff. Good selection of craft beers and taste pies, not cheap for what you get but reasonable.”

“The food was good, as was the service. It wouldn't be fair to comment on the atmosphere as we called late on a Sunday night. Nothing was too much trouble for the guys there, and pizzas were served promptly. Really loved the sourdough texture.”

“A fantastic pub decorated beautifully. There's a lovely conservatory to have your meal too. I had the carvery. There was about 5 different meat choices and huge Yorkshire puddings. Pigs in blankets are available at an extra charge. There's a great selection of vegetables. Lovely roast potatoes, boiled potatoes, mushy peas, cauliflower cheese, broccoli, mixed vegetables. 3 types of gravy. Vegetarian, meaty gravy and gravy with peppercorns. The usual sauces are available, apple, cranberry, mint. Our server was Marc who was just delightful. Me and my friend will definitely be coming back.”

“So glad I found this place as I'd been to Antwerp for a few days and had been drinking a fruit beer while there, I'd been drinking Liefmans Fruitesse and had been looking online for it, I was going for something to eat when I spotted this place and thought I'd pop in to see if they had any Liefmans and I'm so glad I did. Talking to the person behind the counter (this man knows his stuff) about beers and what I'd tried, I bought 4 bottles and I'll definitely be back to get some more and maybe bring the other half as he likes the trappist beers”

“I really liked this spot, only popped in for a coffee and a snack but will definitely be back again. They had a choice of a few different vegan cannolis, I got a cappuccino flavoured one and it went perfect with my latte. The food menu looked great so will be back to try some of their vegan options. The atmosphere was very chilled and cozy and the staff were lovely :)”

“Lovely staff. The coffee is lovely and very quick. No plastic cutlery, all recyclable wood. If the benches outside are wet they will cheerfully provide a dry sheet of cardboard or a plastic bag to sit on. Sausages cooked to order for your dog. They like dogs!”

“We called in last Sunday evening, 13th Sept. No food available (fair enough it was quite late) so the man behind the bar suggested that we go to the excellent Indian over the road to order a take-away. He said they would deliver it to the H and H. That worked well, and the same kind man even brought us plates and cutlery to where we sat outside on that warm evening. We had some drinks and thanked him for his great kindness. It was well beyond what we would have expected from him, unfortunately didn't get his name, and we were sorry not to return there as we were leaving the following morning. What great service! “What a find! Absolutely lovely little restaurant. Fantastic atmosphere and and the lady that served us was very friendly and attentive. We can be quite particular about how our steaks are cooked and they were very accommodating with us. The creamy mushroom starter I had is to die for, I'm sure the garlic bread is home baked it was that good and the steaks were absolutely delicious. Definitely be going back!”

“Had such a wonderful time experience Sunday afternoon. I had the roast Turkey and my husband the roast beef! The food was absolutely stunning, so tasted and meat melted in my mouth ! The atmosphere was vibrant and cosy and the staff were so attentive! Honestly nothing ! Was too much trouble for the well trained, polite and attentive staff! We have travelled a lot lately and have missed this level of service and kindness, they even nipped next door to their cocktail bar to provide special drinks requests! Thank you so much”
