“I'd initially booked a two week jaunt to South Africa for my Dads 60th and after months of uncertainty we got the call that it couldn't go ahead. Despite this, Black Opal had stayed in touch throughout the entire experience, reassuring us that they would do everything in their power to make it happen. Alas, it was out of their hands. Black Opal quickly arranged an alternative trip to Murrayfield to at least watch the Lions on home soil and what a day it was, we saw all of the players board the buses prior to playing and a stellar 3 course meal with guest speakers. We had great seats and the atmosphere was as good as we could of expected. Black Opal accommodated a payment method they did not previously accept for me to pay for the entire trip and we got great rates for the initial trip to South Africa and the revised trip to Edinburgh. I'd not used a travel operator before, but I can assure you reading this and Black Opal I do not intend to go elsewhere ever again for sports excursions. Special mention to Ben Collis for the initial handling of my enquiry but my utmost thanks and appreciation goes to Kathryn Morris who was instrumental in the handling of our initial trip when it was in limbo and arranging our trip to Edinburgh. I cannot recommend this group enough.”

“The food is delicious, with a wide selection of quality meats and a nice salad bar with lots of varieties. The people are so friendly and nice, and they accommodate kids really well. It's a little pricey but I think it's worth it. Our second time there and won't be the last.”

Delicious food home cooked and the restaurant owned by the chef, his mother in the kitchen and his wife front of house. Kid yourself no more this is the real deal and delicious- a must try !!!!”

“We stopped in here for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The service was outstanding and had we had more time we would have kept chatting with our server. This was made perfect by the quality and taste of the 3 dishes we had. The Babaghanouj, Bourak and Maklubeh were outstanding! We’d never had the 2 last dishes and loved the flavor. If we every get back to Altrincham this will definitely be our first stop.”

“We went to Phanthong for lunch on Saturday and ordered from the A La Carte menu. The decor is lovely. The food was presented beautifully and absolutely delicious. We had young kids with us and they loved the food too, especially the pad Thai noodles. The service was excellent. Would definitely recommend this place and will be back again.”

“Visited Belgian Bar yesterday for the first time and I was astonished about the level of customer service received. Nothing was too much trouble, staff was super friendly (they found a perfect balance of being friendly and not overload the customer with kindness). Although someone went beyond and above to make our table happy and that was David. I have asked for mocktail (not on the menu) thinking I might be faced with 'no' as it happened in few places already, but for David that was not a problem. All evening he was making me the most amazing drinks I could possibly imagine. Blends, taste and attention to details... just wow!!! Thank you so much for accommodating my needs. Left the bar super happy You guys should put those on the menu. Let other people taste what I did!”

“We were booked in to meet relatives for lunch. They were travelling and were massively late. La Famiglia couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. They kept our booth for us for the afternoon and wouldn't take payment for the drink we had whilst waiting until we returned later and they put it on the final bill. The service and food was fabulous when the family finally arrived. 100% will be going back.”

“Called in for brunch on a whim on a Saturday afternoon. Had a short wait for a table, but it was well worth it! Coffee was excellent, as was the food. I had the salmon eggs benedict, and my friend had the pork shoulder version of the same - which, if anything, looked better than mine! Staff were attentive and efficient. Recommended.”

If you dare try the belly buster it's a sandwich the size of you head filled with all the breakfast ingredients, equally you can pick from a huge selection of sandwiches or just invent your own.
