“I have read the review of James Hughes below. Thought I would add.. I was present when James entered the shop, helped himself to coffee without asking or being offered (I appreciate we’ve all been raised differently!) .. jumped the queue .. before announcing ‘the last barber messed my haircut up and I would like mine washing now’ .. I was in the seat near the window and I looked at the owner with an expression of ‘what the ***‘ absolutely amazed at his rudeness. Still.. they all treated him with respect. Amazed to see the review below ! I too have been going to this barbers since they opened. They are 100% top drawer. Absolutely professional, courteous and polite. Nothing is too much trouble. A credit to Glossop.”

“A lovely welcoming place you can choose what you want too do paint or make a birthday card or do a Quiz and in summer their organise walks to Portland basin etc.Free coffee and a chat when you want. Nice atmosphere can be mixed group”

“Adorable pet shop with lovely staff. Asked them to get in some ferret supplies for us and they did straight away! Come here for malt paste, treats, and litter for them. Much better than getting stuff online!”

“My little boy loves going to nursery then to preschool here. He gets when there are holidays so he can't go. He has bonded with every member of staff and has grown in his development in every way. I would recommend little stars to anyone who wants kind caring and dedicated staff to look after their child along with home grown produce making up the home made organic foods they eat.”

“We sent our Clumber Spaniel here after we bumped into someone with a schnauzer that had been cut beautifully and when we asked where they told us Woof and Ready. Thet gave him one of the best grooms he's ever had. We've since started taking him to hydrotherapy after he hurt his back (he's an old boy!). The staff are all lovely. We spend quite a while there while our dog is having his hydrotherapy which gives you more of a sense of the place than if you were just popping in to drop your dog off or pick them up. We definitely have good vibes about the place and if we needed to and our dog was a bit younger we'd probably use them for doggy day care as well.”

“I wouldn't go anywhere else in the Glossop area. Cups of tea or coffee with biscuits, flowing. Staff friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is very relaxing with gorgeous aromas, you feel fab, just a pity you have to leave at the end of your treatment! Would highly recommend”

“Great relaxed place to go, love you can groom and put ribbons and clips in Baby. Good quality crayons to do the crafts and a interesting age appropriate Halloween activities. Ponies are lovely and staff friendly, caring and knowledge to both the children and ponies. A great safe place to go with our daughter and grandchildren.”

“Friendly staff, plenty of slots for camping. Toilet and shower facilities were good and looked fairly recently refurbished. Only downside was that the road noise is extremely loud if you get placed at the bottom of the campsite, I’m sure it’s fine if you’re in a caravan but if you’re in a tent you’ll definitely hear it. Overall good experience and it’s well located for hikers and backpackers.”
