“Just around the corner, this place stood out ever since we moved in the area! Great coffee, good food with a lot of options for brunch, lunch and dinner. Very good offerings for veggies too. Lovely atmosphere with some dogs always around! Despite lacking on natural light, it’s a warm, welcoming and pleasant place to be!”

“Very nice place to have a few drinks and some delicious pub food reasonably priced. The Botanist is beautifully decorated, the cocktails and selection of drinks is is impressive. I really enjoyed my halloumi hanging kebab and sweet chili fries. The staff is very approachable and attentive. Special thanks to our waiter Sam who kindly made sure that we were happy and well attended at all times. Will go back :)”

“Just had the vegan special...wow !! I'm not even vegan but went full vegan option and it was banging!! Toasted to perfection and the addition of some chilli heat wave Doritos in it for that crunch took it to the next level. I had the Bhaji sandwich the other week which was awesome too but I think with maybe a little mint (vegan) Yoghurt on it would take it level with today's taste sensation. What do you think Rack?”

“Visited in the morning with a friend for some breakfast. We ordered the English breakfast and the desi one. Both were very hearty. A very warm welcome from the staff, service was great and overall a lovely place. Will definitely recommend and I'll coming back again. We finished off with dessert. “Excellent food, nice cosy atmosphere with an open fire. This is not a standard Robinsons food pub, it has local fresh produce prepared by a good chef, with nice little extras. Staff are always polite and the best thing for us is that we can go somewhere for an excellent meal with our dog, as they welcome dogs and always ask if you want water for your dog. Since we moved to the area a couple of years ago it is our favourite place to eat out without leaving our furry friend home alone.”

“I don't think they deliver, but it's worth collecting from as it's a very friendly, welcoming, nice place. I've ordered for pick up quite afew times and the food's ready not long after I arrive. This is a top Indian restaurant, I always order knowing the food will be top quality because they never let us down. It's always clean, it can get very busy during the bank holidays. There is parking at the back of Sainsbury's.”

The type of food is higher-end, with a varying and imaginative (but not pretentious) seasonal menu. My family has eaten here for years, and the highest standards are always upheld. “Vietnamese Potbellied is one of our local restaurants, and for the quality of the food, and the price you pay, you really can't go wrong! As the name suggests, it's a range of Vietnamese food - pho and ben hue making up the majority of the menu. Starters include things like salt & pepper prawns, chicken, tofu (pictured), spring and summer rolls. Importantly, the food is all fantastic. A favourite of mine is the s&p tofu and the Bun Bo Hue. Portions are extremely generous too - a starter and main would probably be more than enough for most people! The restaurant is also a mix of BYOB and has a license to sell alcohol as well. If you are able to BYOB, it makes a meal here extremely reasonable with the corkage (c. £4.50 I think). Recently, I visited with some family and for the 6 of us, the overall cost was £120, or £20 a head. Which is incredible value for a starter and main, given how good the food is! The atmosphere is also really lovely. It's nice and relaxed, the restaurant is family owned, and you are never rushed. Service is always really good, whenever we've visited. On Fridays and weekends you might want to book a bit in advance, but for weekdays you would probably be OK to walk in. All in all, great food, fab prices, just a really nice place to spend an evening!”

“I had heard good things about this place from a friend and as I was travelling home from work my son amd I decided to swing in. We were made to feel very welcome, the staff are really lovely and the food was top notch. Needless to say we left feeling very full and happy. They have a number of good deals during the week so doesn't hurt your wallet either. We will see you soon”
