“My partner and I had a wonderful evening at Borage. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and Veronika runs the dining room with warmth and efficiency. The food is superb with first class flavours and presentation accompanied by excellent wine. All of this at incredibly affordable prices makes it an experience not to be missed! “A superb restaurant. We visited twice in a space of a month after getting a take away from them while at friends of ours. On the first visit, there was a very noisy table of 10 people and the waiter offered to move us downstairs, which was perfect. The food was good from the takeout but in the restaurant it was fabulous. Last night was our second visit and thankfully, although the restaurant was full, the atmosphere was very pleasant. Service was excellent and if I could ask for anything to be changed at all, is to ask for our food to come soon after the popodums and dips. It seems the popularity of the restaurant making it particularly busy on Saturday night on the takeout side, so while orders go out to be collected we had to wait for our food a little more than we'd want to. Again, this would never stop us from going again as it is simply one of the best Indian meals we had for a long time!”

“We stopped in here for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The service was outstanding and had we had more time we would have kept chatting with our server. This was made perfect by the quality and taste of the 3 dishes we had. The Babaghanouj, Bourak and Maklubeh were outstanding! We’d never had the 2 last dishes and loved the flavor. If we every get back to Altrincham this will definitely be our first stop.”

“We went to Phanthong for lunch on Saturday and ordered from the A La Carte menu. The decor is lovely. The food was presented beautifully and absolutely delicious. We had young kids with us and they loved the food too, especially the pad Thai noodles. The service was excellent. Would definitely recommend this place and will be back again.”

“11 icehockey players looking for somewhere good to eat entered & were greeted with open arms seating us all together & then took our drinks order. Whilst waiting for us to decide what we wanted they supplied us with several baskets of prawn crackers with dips & they were really tasty & not like a chippy. The food came out in baskets too with a choice of cutlery or chopsticks!. Overall the food was excellent the drinks flowed & the service was always there making sure we was being looked after & top marks excellent!. Definitely will be recommending this place to friends & family.”

“Firstly I think it’s important to note this is a cafe that is connected to a family support centre and counselling service. It’s cheap and it is supposed to be somewhere accessible for people who access the services next door, as well as for anybody who uses the park. I actually came here not because of this but because I had attended a baby class in the adjoining room, so my friend and I had coffee and cake here. It’s a great little place, so cheap and the staff are friendly too. There’s a seating area outside as well for warmer days. It’s a lovely little cafe if you’ve had a walk in the park or want to meet a friend with your little ones. They also offer a range of food and I’ve-cream in summer, but we always went primarily for coffee and cake, both of which were always spot on. We used to go here every week after baby classes, and will continue to do so after Covid. This cafe definitely deserves our support so that it stays open in the future.”

“After reading negative reviews on here, I wasn't sure what to expect but I was really impressed by Townfields. It's not cheap but it's a proper restaurant and all such places cost these days. The point is, it's worth it. I considered removing a star for the staff being nothing like as knowledgeable as they should be for the standard of the establishment. But I decided that would be churlish. The service was good, it was friendly and it was quick. The atmosphere is relaxed and tranquil, just right for a quiet night out. The food, though, is what stands out. The two of us ordered different things over three courses and all six dishes were top quality. A bit different, beautifully presented and memorably delicious. Definitely recommended.”

The service was top notch and the food delicious and plentiful, the chef even cooked up a dish not on the menu as requested by my daughter and finished the evening with a special treat for the birthday girl. “Great tasting Indian food 5 stars! I called in on Tuesday evening for the first time and wasn't disappointed, the service 5 stars! The staff were helpful, polite & friendly & the cleanliness of the establishment 5 stars! I had a really tasty Prawn main meal with subtle spices/coconut flavours which was delicious......5 Stars! I will definitely be eating here again & I guarantee you won't be disappointed with this new takeaway in Timperley, well worth giving it a try. 5 stars!!”

Also if your lucky enough to qualify for the delivery service they couldn't be more helpful, I called up the other night at 10pm to leave a voicemail to ask for a change to my delivery & Chris answered, I had to go away early the next morning so he said he would try his best to get them to me before I left & he did! Thanks Chris your a star!!”

“Most recently we went for early (around 9am) breakfast with our 2 year old. It was quiet but still had a pleasant atmosphere. Service was great and very friendly/accommodating. We sat in a booth which was good for toddler control! Food was delicious and even our toddler ate loads (beans on toast).”

“Great local cafe serving a lovely cup of tea, just what you need to perk you up when your out shopping. My husband loves the coffee. Lovely selection of fresh sandwiches and of course Bap’s. The cakes are just gorgeous, try the toffee and walnut loaf, who could resist that! Definitely worth a visit. Updated 3rd Feb Enjoyed a delicious take away latte from Bap today. Great to catch up with Marta, who is still smiling through the lockdown. Looking forward to trying my Gin with rhubarb and ginger, sounds delicious and made in Altrincham. Always good to see business coming up with innovative ways to keep going through these tough times. Seeing all the lovely big teddy bears sat at the tables in the cafe, really cheered me up.
