“Visited on opening weekend- delicious authentic food and cocktails, and so reasonably priced! A nice touch with the Indian gins too. Great to have a new Indian restaurant in South Manchester, I’ll definitely be back to try out more dishes! Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and parking was easy on nearby residential streets- not too far to walk which was ideal!”

“Me and my family went here for a birthday tea off of a shining recommendation. Could not recommend more, the food was amazing, best jalfrezi I’ve ever had. The mixed starter was gorgeous. “Food is immaculately good. We enjoyed a three course meal at Dishoom. The variety of food is great for Vegetarian and Vegans too. The unlimited tea lasts until 5pm Although, service is slow the food makes up for it. It was unbelievably hot on the day we visited, the air-conditioning was not on.”

“Went for a family meal on Christmas Eve. All the staff were lovely, the atmosphere was nice. There was no pressure between poppadoms, starters and mains,they even asked if we would like a 15 /20 minute break before our mains, most places rush the food out so this was a pleasant change. The food was stunning, very fresh, and very tasty. We all loved what we had. Highly recommended and would go again for sure. Thankyou to all the staff and credit to the chef, gorgeous food.”

“Popped in to use the bar as we were waiting for teens to finish a birthday meal across the road. There was nowhere open to grab a coffee at 6.30pm on a snowy December eve. Although we were not dining in we were welcomed as any guest and the service was excellent even if it was for only 2 coffees and a beer. We are looking forward to coming back for a meal soon. “Met up with an old friend for a catch-up and meal. It was a very busy night but the staff was handling it very well. The food was served in a timely manner and was very good. There was a couple of birthday parties in which as you would expect were quite noisy but it did make catching up a struggle.”

“UPDATE. This is definitely the best Indian in Darwen. Although not on the menu, they do do a cauliflower side and tonight I even took my own aubergine. The food is always delicious and plentiful and the service is top notch. Toilets not quite finished but getting there. I wish they would bring the bill with the Bailey's. PREVIOUS We went there last night, Wednesday, at 5.30 for a change from our usual Sunday venue. We were warmly welcomed and served drinks (two pints of Cobra). The heating was on. We ordered three poppadoms (which came with a far too big a pickle tray), 2 mains from their chefs recommended specials with a vegetable rice, a garlic and cheese naan and a portion of onion bahjis. It was absolutely delicious, faultless and plentiful. Giving The Akash a run for its money? Most certainly at £42.00 with complimentary Bailey's. The decor is lovely. Miminalistic muted greys with the colourful paintings as a beautiful contrast. Not too bright. The service was discreet and professional. Not overly friendly. Downside? The toilets reaĺly do need attention to finish the refurbishment. Thank you. We will return very soon. Looking forward to their Sunday buffet which they said, is coming soon.”

“Food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only let down is the size of the restaurant and the difficulty of fitting large groups in i.e. 12 or more. The tables have to be situated around a pillar that splits the group up and makes it difficult to get out from the table to get to the toilet. But if you are only a small group or a couple then you won't have any of the seating issues. All in all a really nice place with great food and a pleasant atmosphere.”
