Traditional dining in Altrincham

“Is it the pasta or the sauce? Set aside any fears of school dinner Mac and cheese, Sugo is on a different level altogether. Having lucked out on getting a table after 2 years of living nearby, I relished the chance to review them. The space is warm but snug. Large parties will struggle especially with COVID restrictions. Not an issue in summer, but a possible one in Winter. They’re dog friendly as they have some seating outside, so please specify this when booking. Onto the primi piatti! Expect luscious pasta cooked to the correct side of al dente. It seems to inhale the sauces that make use of the starch and premium stock in lieu of cream. All making for a far more palatable meal. And the sauce. The term does not do the flavours and texture justice. The melange of spices and components be they vegetarian or not, are sublime. Just a taste of the seafood pasta alone conveyed everything in one bite. Not to be outdone, their beverage selection is nothing short of brilliant. The chinotto brought back fond memories of Kinni cola. Sadly I did not have time to partake of dolce but will endeavour to do so next time.”

“11 icehockey players looking for somewhere good to eat entered & were greeted with open arms seating us all together & then took our drinks order. Whilst waiting for us to decide what we wanted they supplied us with several baskets of prawn crackers with dips & they were really tasty & not like a chippy. The food came out in baskets too with a choice of cutlery or chopsticks!. Overall the food was excellent the drinks flowed & the service was always there making sure we was being looked after & top marks excellent!. Definitely will be recommending this place to friends & family.”

“Highly commended on all fronts. A really nicely presented shop with a small seating area, really lovely and helpful staff. And the food was all excellent. We tried some goat curry, the chicken, a dumpling, rice with peas and a lovely fresh salad. All really tasty and fresh. Sorry, no pictures this time but we will definitely be back!”

Rooms are lovely and clean and well stocked with the normal tea, coffee etc Breakfast is excellent, so much choice and cooked to order. 5 minute walk to Dunham Massey and lovely homely pub next door with a real coal fire”

“Well having seen plenty of attempts by many to pretend to be an Italian restaurant we finally have one !!!!……. Here in Hale. Delicious food home cooked and the restaurant owned by the chef, his mother in the kitchen and his wife front of house. Kid yourself no more this is the real deal and delicious- a must try !!!!”

“Great tasting Indian food 5 stars! I called in on Tuesday evening for the first time and wasn't disappointed, the service 5 stars! The staff were helpful, polite & friendly & the cleanliness of the establishment 5 stars! I had a really tasty Prawn main meal with subtle spices/coconut flavours which was delicious......5 Stars! I will definitely be eating here again & I guarantee you won't be disappointed with this new takeaway in Timperley, well worth giving it a try. 5 stars!!”

“I had a very last minute event that I desperately needed a cake for. I contacted Mama’s cuisine and they graciously agreed to sort me out with a 12 inch cake. The owner only had a days notice and had other orders, but still managed to make mine, and had it ready earlier than agreed which was so great. Not only did the cake look DIVINE (and better than I could even imagine), but it tasted AMAZING! Everyone was so impressed with the cake, it actually became the centre piece of the party. I am forever grateful for Mamas Cuisine, and will most definitely be coming back! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”

The service staff were super friendly and the food was delicious. This was our second visit here in the last month and the food is always amazing, top quality and makes you feel like your visiting India. “Ordered on line a Mustard made locker, the Midi, blush pink, (absolutely gorgeous) Wednesday tea time, it arrived Friday lunchtime and was up and working by tea time! so so beautiful, unbelievable delivery, extremely easy to put together, cannot fault anything from ordering to delivery to sitting gazing at it in my kitchen..........perfection all round.”

“Popped in to use the bar as we were waiting for teens to finish a birthday meal across the road. There was nowhere open to grab a coffee at 6.30pm on a snowy December eve. Although we were not dining in we were welcomed as any guest and the service was excellent even if it was for only 2 coffees and a beer. We are looking forward to coming back for a meal soon. “Our very favourite curry takeaway kitchen, and we've tried many. They are takeaway only - not torn between serving in-house and takeaway customers, and it shows in the quality of the food and speed of service.”

“First time in Little Italy for myself and my partner and what a little jewel it is. Cozy and personal with wonderful food and great wine. Sam the owner takes the time to come out of the kitchen and make sure everything is fine personally, and our server Brooke was super attentive and helpful the whole night. “What a lovely restaurant. I went with the In Laws so we had a table of 4. Service was exceptional and they couldn’t do enough for you. Drinks came quick and they were always asking if we are ok. The interior was lovely and a chilled vibe to the place. Having never had Sri Lankan food I didn’t know what to expect. It’s kinda like Indian but more spicier so be prepared. We really enjoyed it. Will go again very soon and will look to see if they do take out because I would prefer it to an Indian on a Saturday night at home. This restaurant was a very welcome surprise you won’t be disappointed.”

“We went to Phanthong for lunch on Saturday and ordered from the A La Carte menu. The decor is lovely. The food was presented beautifully and absolutely delicious. We had young kids with us and they loved the food too, especially the pad Thai noodles. The service was excellent. Would definitely recommend this place and will be back again.”
