“This is a beautifully decorated, rustic, enchanting hotel. The 400 year old building is very comfy and warm. An extremely relaxing environment. A fairytale feeling to the aptly named Wizards retreat. Welcomed by the owner Ian and introduced to the area, given plenty of ideas for eating and day out opportunities. The suite (Merlin Suite) was extremely comfortable, warm and a delightful place to stay. Cake, biscuits, teas and coffees and toiletries all included and of a high quality. Just an absolutely delightful stay which we plan to repeat to experience one of the other suites there.”

“Would highly recommend Dazzle the Clown. Easy to book, arrived in good time and set up with no issues. Thoroughly entertained the kids and made sure everyone got a turn. He knew all the kids names and was funny, had them all sitting and listening well. Fantastic entertainer and seemed like a nice man. Deserves 5 stars.”

“Went there with my family, staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was very nice and fresh, we had platter for 2 with lamb neck added and it was delicious. Even my little one ate it. Defo recommend!!!”

Booked in here for Lunch and can honestly say as an Ex Chef myself, The Mixed Grill was out of this world, The best I've had by a mile. My Steak was cooked to perfection. “Located in Didsbury where Wilmslow Road meets A34/Kingsway. The Cinema is part of the Parrs Wood Entertainment Complex which consists of a Ten Pin bowling with loads of great arcade games and a great selection of restaurants including Five Guys, Nandos, Wagamama etc The cinema has a Starbucks on the ground floor with plenty of seating Upstairs you will find a Ben and Jerrys style ice cream counter and the usual popcorn and drinks stations with a large choice of snacks and Sri is and a pick n pix wall. The bar area is lovely set up by a huge window looking out at Didsbury. The variety of screens here is impressive with Superscreens, 3D IMAX and 4DX. The seats are red leather reclining in some screens. A huge car park at the rear is handy plus there is a huge gym and casino too.”

“Fantastic food, warm welcome from dean & Brandon. Had the gammon it came with a black pepper rub, absolute genius from chef Dan. Truly deserves a 5* review. all in all a lovely afternoon of food & drink. Well done guys we will definitely be back.”
