“Really nice lil cafe, friendly staff, the coffee here is amaaaaazingly good a must try also the food looks top drawer!!! Chris and his partner the owners really nice down to earth people, if your in Uppermill pls go find this lovely lil hidden cafe entrance is on the front and go downstairs really well appointed estab sit on the river and forget about the daily grind also some under canope seating if the weather's not the best.”

“Just spent the most gorgeous two days at this lovely place, making my birthday extra special! Luxurious chalet surrounded by beautiful views. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, helping make our stay as relaxing as possible. Couldn’t recommend enough!”

“Lovely holiday park. Sally and her team were superb and very professional. We stayed in one of the glamping pods. It was clean and suited us for the couple days. The environment was very quiet and calm when we were there(Easter weekend 22).Felt safe as well, frequent checks were done by security around the site. There's lots to explore in and around the area. The local Tesco is just a stone throw away. Our son enjoyed himself and that was the whole idea. Will visit this park again.”

“Great place, I’m so glad we found it this time. Google maps sends you to a road in Shaw. So ensure you type in the actual address when wanting to come here and not click directions from google :) it will save you a 20 mins drive lol Great service, food is top notch, prices are good with a great atmosphere. Definitely will be back. They have gluten free bread. Although not celiac friendly, as the kitchen is not set up for A gluten free station. They did ensure the bread was grilled away from the areas wheat had touched. Kids menu available and also a Dog menu too. The staff were really helpful.”

“Absolutely love Strinesdale foot paths and 2 large Reservoir's that allow fishing. It also has free parking and is that vast of a space you can walk round it and not bump in to anyone. Strinesdale also has a few picnic areas and amazing views out to the Pennines. There are 3 different routes you can take for that casual stroll or if you are looking to explore of the beat and track you can end up right in the hills and come out at a little farm house. All in all this is one of my favourite places to walk my dog and would recommend it to anyone.”

“It's just a lovely pub. The welcome is good, the beer is very good and the food is excellent. Four-spice chicken curry with half and half chips and rice was particularly good. Have eaten here several times over the years and the high quality has been maintained. Worth travelling some distance!”

“Did not stay, But if rooms are if similar standard to food and drink, they must be good. We had a tremendous lunch for 6. Always excellent,will be going back. I forgot my fleece and grey put it to one side and it was there early evening when I went back, thanks!”

“This stunning spot is great for bird watching and a wonderful habitat There are bridle paths for horse-riding and clearly marked footpaths for ramblers or gentle family walks. Enjoy fresh air, woodland and wildlife!”

“This week we were fortunate enough to have our wedding at The White Hart. The whole staff and establishment couldn't have done anymore for us. Their attention to detail on the day was impeccable and even the smallest request was delivered with such enthusiam and the team were so personable. Even when small hiccups occured before the day Charles and his dedicated team made us feel so valued and wen't completely out their way to get everything the way we wanted it. We had comments from our guests that the quality of the food was the best they have had at a wedding and the venue looked incredible with the roaring fire and it's naturally cosy atmoshphere. The rooms were immaculate and incredibly warm and cosy with all details thought of. We'd like to express our sincere thanks and couldn't reccommend this venue and team more to deliver your special day. “There are 3 Costa Coffee stores in Oldham and this one is clearly the best. It is clean, modern and well looked after. Staff are very friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be that as it is run by Odeon, it does not offer any promotions or deals on food as well as charging 10p extra on drinks. Not a big deal and I expect to see some franchises putting prices up.”

“My daughters wedding was fantastic, right from A.J. picking us up in the white Rolls from the local village. The venue is fabulous the food was excellent, A.J. & family & all their staff went out off their way to make the day perfect. To round the day off we stayed in one of their beautiful rooms overnight followed by a fantastic breakfast. Not one guest had anything bad to say about the day, i would recommend this place to anyone.”

“Been here a few times this is the Second Halloween we have been to here and we love it - perfect for little ones especially through the week it's quiet. Lots of time to explore and adventure around tractor ride- park / playground / animal feeding - jumping pillow - pumpkin picking (different activities depending on the time of year) - cuddle corner - reptile room and animal encounters. Personally I would reccomend as we've had such good experiences and the staff are chatty - helpful - and friendly.”

“Spent a lovely weekend here. Loved the shop. Jams, fresh milk and butter, Weather was on our side. Views was fab. The wet rooms was reasonably clean. Had a free bird show from a man flying his bird. The owner did say I could go over to him to see the bird, but I was in the middle of our dinner. You can hear a little road noise but that didn't put us off. We will return sometime soon. There is an adult only area but I prefer the main field. Love seeing family happy when their camping. .”

“Sharing my recent experience from my recent dental appointment at Parkhouse Springhead. I woke up with throbbing tooth ache and contacted my surgery to request an urgent appointment. The lady I spoke to was extremely sympathetic and understood my needs. I was provided with an appointment that very same morning! At my appointment the dentist realised I am extremely anxious about dental treatment. I received a very sympathetic and calming approach, with the dentist talking to me throughout the appointment making me feel at ease - which was so important to me. Good service and patient care appear to be at the forefront of all they do at this dental surgery. A big Thank YOU from me … I highly recommend anyone with a nervous disposition to dental treatment to visit Parkhouse Springhead!”

“Visited today with my young son and couldn't be happier with the food and the service. I had the gammon which was very juicy, very well cooked and was nice and hot and my son had the lasagna with chips, salad and garlic bread which was very well presented and again, nice and hot. The portions were large and top quality food. Highly recommended. We didn't even have to wait too long. We also wanted to thank Georgia and Aneeka for looking after us, they came to our table on more than one occasion to make sure we were happy and if we wanted anything else. Assets to the team!!
