“Great food a lovely warm place with great staff and lovely locals”

“Called in 4 days ago when everywhere was snowed under and the roads were deadly with ice! The absolutely lovely landlady came rushing to the door and guided us into the warmth. She had one of the staff make a hot coffee for my husband free! I bought a lager and lime which was just perfect. While we were there two paramedics called in to use the toilets; and again, the landlady made them both a cup of coffee free of charge! What a lovely, down to earth lady! The other staff were friendly too. Really nice, traditional pub with wonderfully welcoming staff. Highly recommended! ☺️”

“Very laid back and relaxing alehouse with fabulous decor. Beer and ale very reasonably priced compared to some similar establishments we have visited.”

“What a lovely little pub! Nice selection of beers on tap and always on rotation. Great bunch of locals and a roaring fire, so some good chat while staying cosy. Games on offer and a nice outside area too.”

“I don't drink so I always have coffee, my coffee was spot on and as a bonus there was a choice of chocolate biscuits, yum yum, staff very pleasant place spotless definitely would be first port of call if I lived in Disley which is only a mile or so from Stockport and a bit more to Buxton a good starting point for walkers, with Lyme park a few yards down the road”

“Strines Nightingale shows their is hope for an incredible venue, after death by annexed strangulation, that has been dished out by the corporate drinks industry to the independent pubs in the High Peaks. There’s nowhere you’d rather be locally. The type of place you’ll realise makes you want to relocate to the area. All whilst listening to music worthy of James Ford short. It’s effortless. You won’t be disappointed. A credit to the area.”

“Cosy little boozer with an excellent selection of ales and ciders. Does various nights in the week (e.g. bottle night) with special promos, which is a nice touch.”

“Lovely little pub in the heart of Poynton. Good seating area out the front and a covered, well-ventilated area at the back. Good range of beers (weihenstephan my personal favourite) and wine. Cheerful staff, helpful and accommodating. Toilets are always clean. Glad to see it survived lockdown!!”

“Cool bar in Bramhall with an acre ski style vibe. Card only but bring some coins for the juke box to listen to your favourite tunes. Cocktails were good and you get 2 for £10 4 to 7pm Mon to Thursday.”

“Great food and friendly staff. Was busy on new years day yet food and drinks were fast and service was excellent. Kids love the cinema room and popcorn. An enjoyable experience for all. Highly recommended”

“Been here twice. Both times really enjoyed it. Cosy and friendly The service was fantastic the food and atmosphere was great with the chill out music. I had afternoon tea the first time which was lovely and the vegan wrap and home made soup second time. Really good value for money and very tasty. Little gem in Gee Cross.will be going again soon”

“We visited the restaurant yesterday as part of a large party. The food was excellent and the service perfect. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive. Will definitely be coming back soon and would recommend for a quiet meal or as a large family.”

“Went for lunch to celebrate a birthday recently and we were not disappointed. Served by a lovely sunny lady called Suzanna and nothing was too much trouble . Beautifully presented tasty food . Nice ambience ( although a little loud at times when it got busy as no soft furnishings ) Will definitely go again .”

“Amazing and delicious caramel latte made here which comes in different sizes with perfect temperature and presented very neatly. I've been here several times and the service has never failed to disappoint with friendly staff members and always a bubbly atmosphere. Would strongly recommend going here as I got a free coffee for visiting a certain number of times!”

“Gorgeous. Spotted it was now open while walking on the Fallowfield Loop (always thought the Loop could do with a coffeeshop ON the trail) and called it on the way back. A 20 minute way for a table because I was obviously not the only one to decide to visit. Small menu but a very good selection and the huevos rancheros are AMAZING. The strawberry shortcake blondie was excellent as well. Beautifully restored building with views out onto the Loop dependent on where you are seated. Lovely addition to Levenshulme.”

“Called in just for a coffee, had a lovely breakfast. I'm coeliac, and wasn't originally planning on eating, but the waiter was able to suggest doing the vegan breakfast without toast. Delicious. Lovely atmosphere, staff really know their stuff.”

“Lovely café. The food was reasonably priced, extensive menu and we had prams (5 prams!) and they accommodated us and made us very welcome. They even offered to keep my food warm when my baby needed feeding. Definitely will return, thank you ❤”
