“Ignore the 1 star reviews of this store. A lot of salty people who don't understand how retail works. Even during the covid pandemic, this store delivers a large range of items (from fresh fruit to home baking), friendly staff and most importantly good value for money. Some prices may seem a bit steep but what they cost in price they make up for in taste. Step in and ignore the haters.”

We were made to feel very welcome, the staff are really lovely and the food was top notch. Needless to say we left feeling very full and happy. “I can’t thank the whole team at Millbrooke dedicated lettings enough. I found myself in a difficult situation after the sale of a house and in desperate need of a short term let for my daughter and myself. I had been badly let down at the last minute by another local letting agent. I experienced disinterest and in some cases, shear rudeness from others. Daryl, Claire and Jade have been amazing throughout the whole process. They were quick to respond and just fantastic to deal with in general. “We have been with White Cross Vets in Walkden years now, they were amazing when my cat got attacked the vet actually drove us in his own car to the animal hospital as she needed to be admitted. Unfortunately she passed away at the hospital and someone from White Cross rang me a couple of days later to say sorry and they sent us a card. I had a 15 year old dog called Benson which I adopted when he was 11, they were outstanding with him from the minute I got him. When I had to have him PTS they were so caring and patient because I was a mess, the vet lay on the floor with me and Benson as he didn’t like being up high, so the vet suggested laying on the floor with his blanket she made one of the hardest things I’ve ever done so calming and not scary for Benson. We now have 3 cats and a dog and each of them get amazing care from them. The only thing I don’t like is the Emergency out of hours vets they use, as I have had 1 phone call to them and all they were bothered about was talking about money, I was asking for advise over the phone and they refused to give any saying they can’t do that. I did raise this with white cross afterwards when they were back open. Thank you everyone at White Cross in Walkden”

“Plenty of free parking, convenient location... What else is their to say? Oh yes... the food is really good, the staff are helpful and pleasant too. Selected boxes of biscuits are buy one get one free at the moment. Also the Christmas food to order booklet is out now. Some things are pricey but the quality of M&S food is worth it.”
