Alexandra Park - Oldham
“Oldham Summer Beach 2022 Kids loved it! Recommend the wrist band so they can go on all the bounce stations without paying extra. No queues today even though weather really good. The fairground rides were cash prices additional as you would expect but the bouncy castles and slides were enough for my lot”
Dovestone Reservoir Greenfield
“Amazing place especially if you love reservoirs! Great for dogs though sheep, toilets at car park, sailing in warmer times so many routes back again in 2wks!”
Dovestone Holiday Park
“Lovely holiday park. Sally and her team were superb and very professional. We stayed in one of the glamping pods. It was clean and suited us for the couple days. The environment was very quiet and calm when we were there(Easter weekend 22).Felt safe as well, frequent checks were done by security around the site. There's lots to explore in and around the area. The local Tesco is just a stone throw away. Our son enjoyed himself and that was the whole idea. Will visit this park again.”
Tandle Hill
“Lovely little place to spend an hour just walking the humans. There are many paths to take, some easy and others more suited to us of the four legs persuasion. I definitely think I'll be taking my humans here again! Coffee and toasted sandwiches at the café are an ideal end to the walk!”
Strinesdale Country Park
“Absolutely love Strinesdale foot paths and 2 large Reservoir's that allow fishing. It also has free parking and is that vast of a space you can walk round it and not bump in to anyone. Strinesdale also has a few picnic areas and amazing views out to the Pennines. There are 3 different routes you can take for that casual stroll or if you are looking to explore of the beat and track you can end up right in the hills and come out at a little farm house. All in all this is one of my favourite places to walk my dog and would recommend it to anyone.”
Chadderton Hall Park
“It’s nice park, usually go for a walk with my daughter, she loves it too.”
Dunwood Park
“The park is so quiet and peaceful. For those who haven't been there yet, I highly recommend it. It has a short maze for kids to go through, a play area and a rock climbing area too. It has a Café and a small garden that you can look in to. I used to work there and we thought of many ideas. We wanted to open it up as a public place which I tried to do by inviting people in when I was there working, but now, it's like it's a bit forgotten... I don't know if the people who have access to it are still working on it or not, but it would be great if they are, because maybe after Covid, we could get together again and see how we can re-do it. I had some quite good ideas, and I think that if we start to work there again, we can see if we can open it up as a nice place for absolutely everyone, maybe mine the other people who working there ideas can still work out. Thank you for reading this review on Dunwood Park.”
Well-i-Hole Farm Caravan and Camping
“Spent a lovely weekend here. Loved the shop. Jams, fresh milk and butter, Weather was on our side. Views was fab. The wet rooms was reasonably clean. Had a free bird show from a man flying his bird. The owner did say I could go over to him to see the bird, but I was in the middle of our dinner. You can hear a little road noise but that didn't put us off. We will return sometime soon. There is an adult only area but I prefer the main field. Love seeing family happy when their camping. .”
Saddleworth Holiday Cottages
“The cottage is much above the standard. Very clear and tidy. The owner is very kind and helpful. The area is stanning. Lots of beautiful walking and hiking routes around. And the nearby villages are lovely. Highly recommended!”
