The Sportsman Hyde
● Open57 Mottram Road, Hyde SK14 2NN, United Kingdom“The sportsman as seating inside and outside. Hard alcohol is sold here. The tapas menu is extensive, but the spicy meat balls and barbecue ribs cannot be beaten anywhere I ve been, abroad or here. The staff are friendly and professional. Parking is not a problem, but it is the car park for morrisons so times maybe a problem. I will keep going back if it's only for the tapas. There are plenty of ales on sale at very competitive prices. And a coal fire welcomes all visitors. Visited this public house many times. Staff friendly. Still a number of ales on sale. I have been here many times, the tapas is still the best around and the portions on most foods are huge. The staff are friendly and helpful, parking is a problem. Entrance is for all people. Prices are hugely competitive on alcohol and food.”

Delhi Spice Hyde
● Open“When I travel from Bolton to Hyde, occasionally I will visit Delhi Spice to have their Naga Rice Box. It is just a delight. On thr super hot side, but an amazing dish. Other friends and family members will try a variety and they always have only good things to say about the food. TBH, with the cost of living increase, I am pleasantly surprised by the amount of meat they pack into each meal, especially at those prices, it such a steal.”

Premier Inn Manchester Tameside (Hyde) hotel
● Open“We have stayed at this PI regularly for about 15 years so that we can visit family. Even though team members have changed, it is still staffed by a great team of friendly and helpful staff and the rooms are spotlessly clean. Thank you all! However, over the last couple of years, a very clear and "uncomfortable" demarcation has evolved between this PI and the associated restaurant. The restaurant has extremely rigid rules for eating times etc. and enforces them in a forthright manner... it makes the whole hotel experience unpleasant. We prefer to eat at the great Café in Tesco, a short walk away. The staff are really lovely and the food is good - far less stressful.”

Roots Restaurant
● Open“Done in , the food is real good. Just make sure to tell the staff what you need in your food. If you wish to have little salt or pepper and they will adjust to your liking. Price is good and you can tell them how much you have to spend and they make great choices for low prices as well”

Maha Indian Cuisine
● Open“Food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only let down is the size of the restaurant and the difficulty of fitting large groups in i.e. 12 or more. The tables have to be situated around a pillar that splits the group up and makes it difficult to get out from the table to get to the toilet. But if you are only a small group or a couple then you won't have any of the seating issues. All in all a really nice place with great food and a pleasant atmosphere.”

HENG SENG Chinese Takeaway
● Open“This review is based on 1 particular meal, customer service, food quality and packaging in comparison to other takeaways I’ve been to in Manchester and London… I don’t usually give reviews unless I’ve been to a place on a number of occasions because sometimes like everyone else, we have bad days therefore, food or service might not be as consistent. However, fortunately to say - Heng Seng have been consistent over the years I have been going there. My review is based on the vegetable chow mien and chicken (halal) chow mien dishes alongside salt & pepper chips and prawn crackers (had other stuff too but I’m comparing to other takeaways). - Over the course of 5 years, me and my partner fell in love with their vegetable chow mien. Tonight, the chicken (halal) chow mien took that spot. Their chow mien is BANGING! Full of flavour, generous on the portion size and not just full of noodles (like some places). It’s not heavy on oil, doesn’t leave you feeling unhealthy or groggy - salt and pepper chips: again, good size, lots of flavour and not too much salt - prawn crackers: these are just right. A lot of places we’ve been to either tastes too fish or are too oily - so hands down, Heng Seng smashed it. We’ve always ordered our food then collected. Never had to wait long and customer service was always exceptional and first class. I’m not a food critic btw - I just know my flavours, oil and spices cos I’m an Asian! Plus I travel a lot. In summary, really impressed with this takeaway.”
