Relaxing atmospheres in Marple

“I visited the Salon of Marple after looking for a new salon as my old hairdresser changed locations. The Salon of Marple staff were helpful from when I first enquired until after I had my hair styling appointment. Danielle the hairdresser was very professional and talked me though the process answering all my questions. She gave me recommendations of how to style my hair and which products would be best for me. Overall my experience was great here and I will be back when I can.”

“Great place to meet. Away from everything else next to the barge boats on the side if the canal and next to the Lime kilns. Has a function room for hire, pool table, snooker table and darts.”

“Unfortunately I am now single after 60 years of marriage but booking for just me wasn't a problem . Unlike most Italian restaurants they offer a range of veal dishes which are excellent along with an very extensive menu of other dishes. They are always busy due to quality and value for money and you need to book.”

“Good access, but single vehicle width only. Good sized car park, just mind out for the pot holes one or two are quite large. Excellent facilities, bar is nice and big, good range of drinks, coffee too if you want, prices aren't too bad and service is with a smile. The toilets are good sized and kept clean and should be okay for disabled access. The club house has good access on the ground floor. Attended a party here and it was a good sized area but definitely book well in advance as it books up quickly.”

“What lovely staff, Helen was very helpful. We got our appointments, explained we weren't happy with our previous dentist. We got an appointment, saw Grant and his assistant Zoey.Explained how myself and my 11 year old were very nervous. “This is in my opinion the Best Dental Practice around. Yes it's a business, but that is medicine and dental care , but set that aside and what you have here is a trustworthy experience . Veenu is the main dentist and he has such a great demeanour and skill. He is well assisted by the second dentist , in this case Anchal. I feel in safe hands that when having a hygienist visit that Anchal has the skill of a qualified Dentist, along with the care and compassion that runs throughout the team. I have never been a fan of the dentist but here it is like returning to a friend who is ready to help you with kindness and compassion Thank you one and all”

“Was made to feel welcome as soon as I walked through the door. Offered a brew straight away which was a nice change. Went through what I wanted and offered their suggestions. Very happy with the result and will definitely be going back to this very friendly barbers.”

“Had some chips at the Jubille celebrations so thought we would have fish and chips Sunday night for tea. Ordered through just eat. Brilliant service. Food arrived fresh and hot. Will definitely order again. Not much open on a Sunday so great to have Mr Chips as an option.”

“Called in 4 days ago when everywhere was snowed under and the roads were deadly with ice! The absolutely lovely landlady came rushing to the door and guided us into the warmth. She had one of the staff make a hot coffee for my husband free! I bought a lager and lime which was just perfect. While we were there two paramedics called in to use the toilets; and again, the landlady made them both a cup of coffee free of charge! What a lovely, down to earth lady! The other staff were friendly too. Really nice, traditional pub with wonderfully welcoming staff. Highly recommended! ☺️”

“Strines Nightingale shows their is hope for an incredible venue, after death by annexed strangulation, that has been dished out by the corporate drinks industry to the independent pubs in the High Peaks. There’s nowhere you’d rather be locally. The type of place you’ll realise makes you want to relocate to the area. All whilst listening to music worthy of James Ford short. It’s effortless. You won’t be disappointed. A credit to the area.”
