“Can't recommend the new Three Stories enough, a friendly, relaxed and professional service. I enjoyed a lovely couple of hours getting my nails and a spray tan done, both were perfect (I'm very fussy!). The salon has a new owner Jackie who is making lots very stylish changes and updates. I was told there will be a relaunch coming soon with lots of new products and treatments on offer and I can't wait to go back to be pampered again! There is an online booking that is so easy and convenient for making your appointments too.”

Can recommend manicures, pedicures, great facials and massages as well as eye brow threading and eye lash tint and a host of other treatments as well. All staff excellent and friendly. Relaxing experiences and a pleasure to go for ‘the must’ treatments. Not expensive and good value.”

“This is a beautifully decorated, rustic, enchanting hotel. The 400 year old building is very comfy and warm. An extremely relaxing environment. A fairytale feeling to the aptly named Wizards retreat. Welcomed by the owner Ian and introduced to the area, given plenty of ideas for eating and day out opportunities. The suite (Merlin Suite) was extremely comfortable, warm and a delightful place to stay. Cake, biscuits, teas and coffees and toiletries all included and of a high quality. Just an absolutely delightful stay which we plan to repeat to experience one of the other suites there.”

Just wished our plans gave us the opportunity to enjoy the premises for longer. “I can’t believe I’ve not been before! Always chasing the sun I opted for its neighbour, as a treat to my mother I booked a birthday lunch here. I was pleasantly surprised, quaint courtyard with secluded spots you wouldn’t know you we’re next to a road. For food we tried all of the small dishes (tapas style) super tasty and enough to share. Engaging staff and a quirky interior see for a perfect visit. We will be returning soon”

“I like it here. A medium sized pond with a view up to the hills, on a quiet gravel road. Sometimes the cows come down to the water's edge, or the mist makes the whole scene gorgeous. Mallards, tufted ducks, coots, the occasional goosander, heron and kingfisher. Flocks of geese in the fields often. Swans nest here in the summer.”

“I haven't been to the park for a while, I really enjoyed it. Lots of areas have been deliberately left to go wild. There is also a lovely new playground. Lots of work going on to improve it.”

“Had a couple of laser hair removal sessions with Lucy and I am seeing great results. She makes you feel completely at ease and is extremely thorough. The procedure itself can be quite intimate (with certain body areas) so it is important that you are able to feel comfortable. The clinic is a lovely environment too and very calming.”

“Really good place to visit with free parking. We took 2 children age 5 and 8 with bikes, spent time looking at the nature reserve then took a long ride along the old railway track. Very enjoyable visit and we plan to go back or to different sections of Middlewood Way.”

“I'd never been to a sauna until today but I definitely picked the right one. Spotlessly clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. I was nervous and I was given I guided tour of the facilities by a really helpful, chatty guy that put me at my ease. All the facilities advertised on the website were there and the terrace a perfect little sun-trap. Great music too and at just the right level. I had an amazing time. And I will be going back soon!”

“Had a meeting and lunch here. The meeting room was very spacious, the tech all worked and there are plenty of plugs. Tea and coffee provided, along with some biscuits. Staff very helpful throughout. The lunch was nice too, not too pricey for quality food, had the seabass, calories printed on the menus which is very helpful. Pint of MPA on cask was in perfect condition!”
