Bus Stop Cafe
“Excellent Breakfast - great service. I especially liked the large Latte coffee as an after breakfast treat.”
One Thirty
“Our 4th afternoon tea tray from here, never fails to please - plenty of very fresh sandwiches, savouries, little cakes, scones, clotted cream & jam, fruit.... superb value and excellent quality”
The Lunch Box
“This is literally the best breakfast anywhere in the area. I travel couple of miles out of my way to eat here.”
Idle Hands Coffee
“Manchester on a Sunday Morning for Bruch was a lot busier than we thought. Luckily we got a table at Idle Hands. I'm super glad we did. Lovely atmosphere. We ordered and shared: Meaty Hash Brown Stack and Divorced Eggs. Both tasted fantastic. Food came quickly and was presented like a work of art. It was so good, I really can't recommend it enough. I ordered one of their famous pies and can tell why. I got the Banana Milk Pie and it was so light and creamy. Top marks.”
SO Marrakech
“Fabulous, fabulous food, nice staff, WAY better than the ridiculous dire Altrincham Market. I left the Tender Cow (TC) in the Market after a disgusting meal and found this brilliant cafe. Tender Cow has No customer care, just a very bad attitude, my steak was swimming in sauce. Other restaurants would and do welcome feedback. It's how they stay open. No one wants 27 tonnes of sauce, you had to find the steak. Way too much sauce, no standards before food sent out. It could have been cardboard, you couldn't taste the meat, which made it pointless. At Altrincham Market silly prices you hope they had some skills? I took back the food to Tender Cow to offer feedback, and they couldn't care. Zero care. They just said ok. And ignored us....No refund, no replacement. In Lisbon we sent back a steak for a similar issue and the owner's came out to thank us, to adapt, to keep customers. A free replacement, and we return lots to that restaurant.”
The Coffee House Lymm
“Only had cake and a drink but service was quick and friendly. Breakfasts looked fantastic and the number of people ordering them speaks volumes for popularity and quality, so don't believe you'd be disappointed. Would recommend and likely have a breakfast next time!”
Coffee Fix
“Came in for a solo brunch on my day off. I got a very warm welcome and an absolutely perfect cooked breakfast.”
Milk & Honey Café
“Best cafe in central Manchester, community run, delicious and affordable teas/coffees and snacks. Cosy and comfy with great service. So happy it's around the corner from my office!! :)”
M Café
“The staff is lovely and taught me a lot about Manchester. They truly seemed to care about the food quality and were very friendly and conversational. The food is fresh and the afternoon tea is worth every pence (also very affordable compared to other afternoon teas). It's a lot of food too!”
Federal Cafe Bar
“Lovely place - excellent coffee, food and service. Coming from my home country where brunch of such quality will cost a lot more, this place serves great value. This can also be evidenced by the strong student crowd. Will come again!”
Earlam's Community Store And Cafe
“Beautiful Cafe and Shop all run by a friendly happy group of volunteers. It's always a pleasure to visit and the breakfast barm cakes are delicious”
House of Boba
“Absolutely delicious drinks ❤️I had the melon boba and my partner had the Matcha milkshake, I highly reccomend both! The lady who served us was also so lovely and friendly. The shop was extremely clean also!”
Beauty and Bubbles
“Had a great experience, I went for a shape and polish with Ellie and she was very kind and made me feel comfortable. Overall, it was a great service, I enjoyed the complimentary glass of Prosecco and I’m very pleased with the results of my nails. Thank you!”
National Trust - Lyme
“Visited 25/10/2022, very popular location and lots of parking but fills up fast too. Great staff at the Timber Yard cafe, very helpful and getting requests done with ease for food and drink. Lots of walks to be done, family friendly and buggy friendly. Also steep incline to house from car park so there is a mini bus you can use to get you up to top with ease if you need it. The grounds are very scenic and worth a visit, highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
The Bank Delph
“My daughter, son in law and 3 year old grandson took me here tonight for my birthday meal. My son in law is vegan and for the first time in ages managed to have a starter and a main course which didn't involved a burger! My sea bream was delicious. They kindly cooked my grandson's main course whilst the adults were on starters. The waiter was excellent and the food was well cooked and very tasty. My grandson would like to know where all the money has gone as he and Daddy went to the toilet in the safe and he couldn't see any cash!”
Malaga Drift Coffee Co
“A warm relaxing ambience , open mic nights, a VERY reasonable variety of 'non-coffee' beverages - on Draught, bottle or can, a variety of comfortable seating, some basic dining options with any manner of takeaways welcomed, clean restrooms... need I go on? And they have great coffee! Excellent place to chill with friends.”
The Lime Kiln Cafe
“Fantastic place to enjoy a bite to eat with beautiful views, delectable dishes and wonderful and upbeat staff. Well worth a visit and right on the canal, a gem on the outside of the village. If you're travelling by car there's not much parking so try to find somewhere nearby or park in the village and walk down the canal. The were a good selection of choices available on the menu including a comprehensive number of drinks to choose from all for reasonable prices. It appears to be a popular destination but they do have plenty of tables so you may have a short wait but it's worth it. Outside by the canal most of the seating is for 2 people but there are a couple of tables for bigger groups on the side and out front. Inside there are plenty of tables, upstairs has great views. The staff were very friendly and eager to please. We will definitely be returning!”
Cuppaccino Bistro
“Went for breakfast brunch with my son. Excellent value for money, he had the Big Set Breakfast and I had the Skinny Breakfast and we both swapped out an item and replaced it with extra hash brown/poached egg, (which were poached to perfection). Felt covid safe, temperature taken on arrival, hand sanitizer, tables well spaced out. Will definitely go back, especially as they have breakfast and drinks loyalty cards.”
Baity Palestinian Kitchen
“This place was recommended to me by my client as I was over from ireland on work. First time ever having Palestinian food. The restaurant was clean and inviting. I was welcomed warmly by the waitresses and the lady took time to explain the dishes to me and recommend one. The food was absolutely heavenly I have never tasted flavours like that which complimented each other so well. The humous was silky smooth with subtle hints of spice and garlic through it. The bread it was served with was warm which was an excellent touch to the dish. I ordered the Chicken dish and it was succulent tender and the meat fell off the bone. I cannot recommend this place highly enough or explain the flavours in a way that will do it justice you have to try it to understand”
MODA Kitchen and Bar
“Visited Moda twice this week. On both occasions we we're welcomed with a smile from the friendly staff. It's a modern stylish and spotlessly clean restaurant with exceptional levels of service and food quality. If you're having breakfast go hungry as portions are very generous.”
vietnamese potbellied
“Vietnamese Potbellied is one of our local restaurants, and for the quality of the food, and the price you pay, you really can't go wrong! As the name suggests, it's a range of Vietnamese food - pho and ben hue making up the majority of the menu. Starters include things like salt & pepper prawns, chicken, tofu (pictured), spring and summer rolls. Importantly, the food is all fantastic. A favourite of mine is the s&p tofu and the Bun Bo Hue. Portions are extremely generous too - a starter and main would probably be more than enough for most people! The restaurant is also a mix of BYOB and has a license to sell alcohol as well. If you are able to BYOB, it makes a meal here extremely reasonable with the corkage (c. £4.50 I think). Recently, I visited with some family and for the 6 of us, the overall cost was £120, or £20 a head. Which is incredible value for a starter and main, given how good the food is! The atmosphere is also really lovely. It's nice and relaxed, the restaurant is family owned, and you are never rushed. Service is always really good, whenever we've visited. On Fridays and weekends you might want to book a bit in advance, but for weekdays you would probably be OK to walk in. All in all, great food, fab prices, just a really nice place to spend an evening!”
Istanbul Grill Restaurant and Cocktail Bar
“We tried here last night for the first time and we were tempted to go again tonight, it was so so nice! From walking in, the staff were lovely, especially the young lady serving us (I've forgotten her name sadly) The food was delicious and the outdoor seating was fab, with a little heater too it was perfect and we can't wait to go again”
Bakers Rolls
“How could you fault this place? Premium, belly-filling whoppers of butties, deli sliced meats, no wafer this nonsense... Lovely staff, great snacks and cheap as you like. £11 for four sandwiches, a sausage roll and two cakes. Love this place”
Cafe 10
“Lovely little cafe. Nice and clean. The food is really nice, perfectly presented and really good value. The service can't be faulted. Nice, polite and cheerful. Highly recommend this little cafe which is tucked away at the far end of the market. I'll be visiting again for sure.”
Village Cafe
“lovely tea! really friendly workers (especially the one with red hair) prices were just right and perfect for a calm cup of tea!”
Cosy Cafe
“Had a great breakfast there today, lovely ladies - who prepared us for our long drive back to Suffolk.”
Bread and Butter
“Ordered this breakfast platter and it was plenty of food for two! Really generous portions and best surprise was that it was all sitting on a bed of chips! Who can say no to egg and chips! Best Halal breakfast I have ever had!”
Nelsons Cafe
“A very warm welcome from all the ladies every time. The food is lovely from breakfast to curry and rice. Always busy.”
Lydia's Tearoom
“Excellent park cafe, friendly, helpful service & very nice food.”
