“This place is amazing. We absolutely love WP! The variety, choice & quality of all their products is excellent, really high standards from their wine, to the cheese, to the coffee & locally sourced bakery goods & not only do the WP team really know the detail, story, flavour of the products, they know how to recommend to you based on your likes or what you’re having with it! It’s brilliant to have such a lovely, friendly, welcoming place on the high street, where you feel comfortable to pop in for a drink on your own or with friends. Emma & Will & their whole team are fantastic & make a fab little shop even better. The best place for miles around.”

“Very lovely staff and service, always felt very welcome. Exquisite hot chocolate and sweets! Plenty of choice for lunch and snacks, homemade goods in all departments and always tidy and clean. Love the location too, and love the events that they host, only been to a couple so far and looking forward to attending more in the future. Overall superb and welcoming :)”

“Great location by an airfield. We did Ring Of Red around Manchester and called in here for a very welcome cuppa. Incredibly busy with lots of red clad bikers, like we do when we impersonate a giant poppy, ha. Long queue, but on the ball staff who served efficiently. Tea was good and not UHT either, whuuup, whuuuppp. Loads of seating inside and out with great views of a very active airfield. First time here, I'll be back.”

“Best fish and chips I’ve had outside of going to a restaurant for a long time. We have an ‘award winning’ chippy closer to us but much prefer the Winton Bar. Freshly cooked fish, and you can order small fish which for me is more than enough. They lightly batter them on request and they’re cooked to perfection, nice crispy batter and lovely chips (2 small portions enough for 3 of us) not all hard and bitty like I’ve had elsewhere. Friendly staff too.”

“Pretty much used this place for almost 18 years ! Tried other places when this was shut and no measure up ! Sometimes have to wait other times not depends on traffic ect. food is always bang on and I have a very specific order which is always followed.”

“great atmosphere watched the Derby in there (unfortunately united got hammered) but lovely staff and customers in there and the landlord was a top guy they give out chips for free at half time with bread and butter which is always a nice thought, I'd definitely go again just because of the lovely atmosphere”
