School of Health and Society
● Open“As a Postgraduate student at Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work and Social Sciences - Salford University, I have had a great experience. Since 2011, I have been supported and guided by my PhD supervisors and support officers involved in the programme. I have been particularly impressed with the school ability to go beyond the bounds of traditional teaching to embrace new technologies such as digital and social media in various disciplines to push back the boundaries to deliver quality, diversity and unique student experiences.”

-
St Ambrose Preparatory School
● Closed“My son has finished his first year of reception and it’s been a good experience. Our hope was that he’d find a friendly and diverse environment where any learning needs could be quickly identified and addressed. Although our primary focus was an emphasis good pastoral care and holistic development versus pure academic targets, we’ve been happy to note that he performs well above a broad group of his peers in this aspect. He has been stretched in areas where he was strong and supported in those he currently struggled with. As a consequence, he no longer finds mathematics onerous and takes pleasure in demonstrating his skills. We look forward to his pursuing opportunities in music and on the sports field in the coming years. A welcome bonus has been making new friends with other parents from a wide range of backgrounds. Accepting that we may be biased given the wealth of excellent state primary schools in Trafford, overall our experience with the school has been a good one, supporting our choice for an independent school in general and St Ambrose in particular.”

-
David Aldridge Guitar School
● Open“I have been learning for a relatively short period of time with David and had no prior experience. I am a mature student which probably means that I learn slightly slower than the kids. I am also keen on development and am trained in this as part of my profession. I like the learning journey so far and am further along than I expected to be. This is because we are learning the required skillsets in a logical and purposeful order. I could probably play more songs now if I just learned chords and went off building that knowledge base but the skillsets I have now mean that I can use lots more techniques and to a better standard. All of my learning has been done remotely too. This has worked well for me.”
