“So it has now been over a year that I have been taking my dog to Barkside twice weekly. And I can report that they remain firmly in my mind as the most fantastic doggy daycare I have EVER come across. Each member of staff is absolutely lovely. And you can tell loves dogs and cares for them as if they were their own. The place is immaculate. And my dog is always daisy fresh and happy when I pick him up at the end of the day. In fact in the winter he often doesn't want to leave as they have heat lamps keeping him lovely and toasty. Lol. I literally couldn't recommend this place more highly.”

“Bought my persian cat Toby here today for the first time and honestly could not have asked for a better experience. Toby had a bad experience previously at a different groomers which left him quite traumatised and extremely reluctant to be groomed, the girls at Sammy's did such an amazing job and were so calming even though he was very agitated and snappy (Toby's sorry)! I'm so glad I've found Sammy's and have already booked him in for his next pamper session. Highly recommend this place; the shop is so clean and smells divine! The prices are amazing aswell! “Taken our rescue cat there in January this year for treatment as he had lots of knots which we could not get out by combing , when we collected him later in the day he had no knots and his nails had been clipped, we thought they would have had trouble with him as he was very timid and didn't like to be touched or handled, he came back smelling lovely and looked brilliant (apart from a few bald patches)where they cut out the heavy matted fur, top marks for Pretty Paws , well recommended . will be taking him back in May, lovely caring staff.”

“Absolutely loved Gus's groom on Saturday. He's come out fluffier and softer than ever and he seemed to really enjoy his scrub! The lovely ladies at the groomers really looked after his coat and ensured all his dead hair and shedding was taken care of. He smelt beautiful after as well. We will 100% come back again.”

“I had looked and rang around many groomers before booking in with smartbreeders, the lady I spoke to was very helpful and everything was covered on the call! I ended up taking her on a Saturday which was better for me but they aren't usually open weekends just that a girl had to make up a day! I’ve had my rescue zeena for 2 months now and had her groomed at pets at home first off but it was not a great experience, it was rushed, she was unfinished and I will not be returning again! The girl at smartbreeders was extremely helpful and profession, asked about zeena and what I want for her! I was worried as the previous groom said she screamed and didn’t like anything with the noise and had just had to do the best she could! Smartbreeders had her for around 3 hours so I went off to do some errand! They done exactly what I had asked for and she came out happy and looking beautiful! The girl even text me to tell me how she was and that she was doing great and to pick up whenever! I highly recommend them! Although it is across manchester 30 mins away and only weekdays I will definitely be using them going forward and will work around it! I will recommend to everyone! See for yourself!!”

“This is the 3rd time we have had Marley our Labrador stay with Barkers Pet Services. The last 2 times were for 2 week stays but this time we booked him in for 3 weeks. We had absolutely no problem doing this as we were so comfortable and happy with his last 2 stays we knew he would be more than settled. This is a fantastic place for our dog to be and would highly recommend Barkers Pet Services for home boarding. We couldn't imagine putting Marley in kennels as we tried this when he was younger and did nothing but worry about him. They send us regular pictures on whats app of his stay and updates of what he is doing which is great. Marley is 6yrs old and quite a broadly built Labrador. Since being a pup he has always stayed by our side and been quite a nervous dog and is sometimes scared of small dogs and most big dogs. It takes him a while to get used to a new doggy friend but when he finds one he likes he will follow it around and play. We explained all Marley's fears and all things he enjoys to Jan & Liz and this has always been taken on board when walking Marley and taking care of him. We couldn't imagine leaving him anywhere else now and every time we bring him back for a stay even if its been a year since his last one, he jumps out of the car and runs straight in.
