“Used to take my previous Cairn Terrier - Louie there and we never a problem when he came home! Now we have another Cairn - TeSsie she’s only 6 months old and we were very concerned putting her in kennels so young but the trip we were making was unavoidable due to my husband’s (Michael) illness, however no need to have worried she was there 6 days and she’s fine , no problems back at home straight back into her/our routine! Thank you Joe and the team for looking after our furry baby so well, Tess will be back with a much less worried Mummy next time x”

“Beautiful venue, very clean and modern. Stayed over night in a lovely double room. Which is almost brand new. Will definitely be returning. Stairs may pose a challenge for some but didn't bother me. Parking was great too and free.”

Right from initial consultation where Arnie, my golden Cocker Spaniel (elderly!), and I met her and her dog, through to picking him up a week later Gemma was great. Messages and photos meant I could keep up with how he was getting on. “Wasn't expecting much following the reviews on here, but make a judgement for yourself as I found the staff and the hotel to be pleasant- some of the guests less so! I stayed for work over a period of a few days, and it's clear that its the same staff every day from reception open till close. Im unsure if they are also the owners but it gives a very 'family run' style feel that is comforting. After my first night, I was asked how I was coping with the warm weather and to be sure to ask if I needed anything. I was also periodically asked how the room was, and felt extremely safe as a female travelling solo. The hotel is on a main road, but is neighbouring a nice residential area and a church, which gives it a peaceful feel. The amenities in the room are fantastic, the fridge and microwave honestly looked brand new. I'll be honest in that I brought antibacterial wipes to clean the sides following some reviews, but the wipes were as clean as they were fresh out of the packet after wiping down all the surfaces. While the room itself is a tad dated, it has more character than your standard travelodge! Honestly a great hotel with pleasant staff. Can't fault it and honestly wish I was working in the area again to return!”
