“A lovely place for a walk. Can get busy at weekends and when the sun is out but definitely worth a visit. There is ample parking, toilets and a cafe. There is also a little garden centre which also sells teas, coffees and ice creams. Beutiful country side right on our doorstep.”

“If this was in the Lake District it would be a star attraction. Fortunately it isn't, so it remains very quiet and relatively unvisited. The approach from Bollington, past the derelict and dangerous Ingersley Mill, is interesting but worth it. Combine it with walks through Rainow, along Kerridge Hill and a visit to White Nancy and you have an excellent outing. But don't tell too many people otherwise it will lose its quiet charm.”

“The girls at Petal Bloom designed and supplied our wedding flowers. We were absolutely over the moon with the results when we saw them on the day. We didn't want a "flowery" wedding we wanted just enough for the bridal party and the rest to be rustic with greenery. The girls understood my vision and got it just right! My bouquet was huge, messy and dark ... the exact words I used to explain what I wanted. But it was so elegant and even had streams of burgendy ribbon running from in for that little something extra. I couldn't have asked for more! The boys button holes were perfect ... not too much but went perfectly with the rest of the wedding. The girls were easy, had so many ideas, professional, talented ... I could use all the positive adjectives in the world!! We will be booking for another afternoon tea very soon ... as that is also SPOT ON! If you want somewhere nice for a spot of lunch. “After a nice walk down the local loop line and a play on the park, the café in the village is a fabulous place to head for. Warm and welcoming staff, serving delicious hot and cold food. The kids love a nice hot chocolate and sticky bun. The traditional post office is still tucked in the corner for your convenience too. Thanks for being there, see you again soon.”

“Parking is easy if arriving early at the woods entrance near the college main gate. Lovely walk through the trees by the river, then up around the water works onto farmland where you may see deer. Then around the wonderful wild glade woods and back again. Saw lots of Wrens, Robins, Finches, Nuthatch etc. The usual suspects. Looks nice and clean, mostly.”

“This is a lovely park, not massive but very well kept with a couple of car park options if driving to it. The park has a lake which can be walked round, and grassland which when we went had sheep and lambs wandering around. Its a nice area, if you are expecting a long walk however, you'll probably need somewhere much bigger - but great if you have small people or just need to take dog out for a stretch of the legs!”

“This park has a great bakery called pollen, worth a visit for fresh pastries, bread and good coffee. There's also a brewery next door called cask now the weather's better, for a drink in the sun. Great spot for a run or just sitting outside and watching the world go by.”

“Nice pub, our local but its one of our favourites in Hayfield. Friendly atmosphere, manager is hands on and available. food is basic and nothing too fancy but it's good and what you want after a long walk, roaring fire in the colder months and good service. Can't comment on the rooms as we're local to the venue.”

“Recently visited The Deanwater for a Business Meeting. A beautiful venue with plenty of space, lovely food and friendly staff. Plenty of space in the meeting suites, could of just done with access to a few more plugs for the laptops but on the whole would definitely return.”
