“i had the mixed seafood with veg stir fry on rice which has a glossy sauce around it. it perfectly reminds me of home comfort food, so good so fresh so fragrant. the portion was quite big. the shrimp fried rice was good too, some wok hei, simple seasoning, juicy prawns. friend ordered the roast meat and enjoyed it. the food we ordered came so quickly which is great. i do have to admit the meal is a little pricey even though the food was delicious.”

“Whilst visiting Manchester we decided to go for a Chinese meal in China Town on a Thursday night. We weren't really sure of what to expect, just walking past many places I saw the menu and it had a good selection of vegan options so decided to take the plunge and popped in. The lady serving us was very friendly and opted for the chilli tofu with plain rice and my wife went for crispy aubergine. The kids ordered chicken chow mein (standard). It didn't take too long and became the highlight of my Manchester visit. Both the vegan dishes were sooo delicious I couldn't stop thinking about it days after ha.”

“Ordered a couple of weeks ago and I've placed 3 more orders ever since. Gotta say this is the tastiest special fried rice I've ever had in Manchester, and I've had it all over the world. Very nice wok hey. I do have two suggestions: (1) Perhaps consider having a special dry chow mein on the menu. I only saw a wet chow mein. (2) This place has a 1 out of 6 hygiene rating. Personally I'm not overly concerned because the food is piping hot, and I have a strong third-world stomach. But I find it hard to recommend to others with such a low hygiene rating.”

“If I could give more stars I would. This is a golden gem. Family run and absolutely full of flavour. Normally don't go out my way to give a review but it was that good I had to. Prawn dumpling were hand made and absolutely awesome. Chicken and sweetsoup was hot and a great addition to everything we ordered. Now I have found this place next time I will order direct.”

Just a typical shop front, no seats and a pretty much silent young server, quickly ordered from a wide selection of typical Chinese style foods. “The reason for many a happy Sunday night! The Wok Inn is one of the best Chinese takeaways in the local area in my personal opinion. I have been ordering from here for easily a decade now and I have never been disappointed. The lady behind the counter is lovely and never hesitates to add in very generous extras for paying over certain prices. The food always tastes excellent and from what I can see the kitchen looks professional and very clean. Ordering is easy and quick and thr food is always ready upon arrival.
