Chorlton Ees Nature Reserve
“Lovely place for a walk. There are paths that take you towards Sale Water Park, Chorlton Water Park and so on. Brilliant for dog walkers and there are playing fields for football or just to relax. Beautiful scenery, especially near the River Mersey. Free Parking.”
Nature Reserve
“Peaceful, you'll find barges, giant sculptures, plenty of birds and birdwatching huts - and if you're lucky, an ice cream van on a nice day!”
The South Manchester Centre For Psychotherapy
Get me to the Alps
“We made booking first time with Gey me to the Alps. So far the process was very good. One of assistant was looking after our queries. She always responded with the update, follow ups. I felt I was guided through this. I got 2-3 different options to consider and links to additional information. I am looking forward to this skiing holiday. Paulina”

Carrington Moss
“Great outdoor safe, fantastic countryside walks well worth a visit”
Pack Horse Inn
“Stayed here for 2 nights. Very comfortable room, spotlessly clean bathroom. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and the food was lovely and the service was brilliant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all this was perfect accommodation. Would definitely recommend.”
Dovestone Holiday Park
“Lovely holiday park. Sally and her team were superb and very professional. We stayed in one of the glamping pods. It was clean and suited us for the couple days. The environment was very quiet and calm when we were there(Easter weekend 22).Felt safe as well, frequent checks were done by security around the site. There's lots to explore in and around the area. The local Tesco is just a stone throw away. Our son enjoyed himself and that was the whole idea. Will visit this park again.”
Hayfield Camping and Caravanning Club Site
“The most amazing place to stay. We stated ay caravan and camping site in our motor home. Loads of lovely walks for the experienced or novice. We will get returning many more times, super ace place to go”
Swans Pool
“I like it here. A medium sized pond with a view up to the hills, on a quiet gravel road. Sometimes the cows come down to the water's edge, or the mist makes the whole scene gorgeous. Mallards, tufted ducks, coots, the occasional goosander, heron and kingfisher. Flocks of geese in the fields often. Swans nest here in the summer.”
Rochdale Canal Towpath
“quiet path next to the canal. you can see ducks and cows”
Keg Pool, Etherow
“A lovely place for a walk. Can get busy at weekends and when the sun is out but definitely worth a visit. There is ample parking, toilets and a cafe. There is also a little garden centre which also sells teas, coffees and ice creams. Beutiful country side right on our doorstep.”
Reddish Vale Country Park Visitors Centre
“Love the place, can't wait to go back in Summer. Nice place to go with kids and walk your dog”
Marbury Country Park
“I haven't been to the park for a while, I really enjoyed it. Lots of areas have been deliberately left to go wild. There is also a lovely new playground. Lots of work going on to improve it.”
Carlton Club
“Great venue in a strange sub-urban mansion. Pick the right night and you'll have an absolute blast.”
RHS Garden Bridgewater
“We came to the dog walking evening on the 27th of June. We had wanted to visit the gardens since they opened but this gave us, and our furry friends, the ideal opportunity to explore. What a resounding success it seemed to be. We absolutely loved it and cannot wait for the next one in July. Everybody we spoke to said the same as us. The gardens themselves are beautiful and we all enjoyed exploring. It is a place that is ever changing and I would like to see it in the different seasons. I really hope the dog friendly evenings remain a regular thing.”
Heaton Park
“Went on a windy cold January day and the park was magnificent!!! It’s only 4 miles from Manchester and on a clear day you can see the Mancunian towers and buildings from the hilltops. There’s a tram stop just beside it so very easy to go to. Wasn’t too crowded at all probably because of the wind. The animals were out and about enjoying the little sun they could find. The gardens are well kept. Some of the food stalls were closed but the cafe and pub were both open for food and drinks”
Manor Park
“Really nice park with playgrounds, free car park, dry walk paths, as well as trails. We enjoyed walking our dog here.”
Alexandra Park - Oldham
“Oldham Summer Beach 2022 Kids loved it! Recommend the wrist band so they can go on all the bounce stations without paying extra. No queues today even though weather really good. The fairground rides were cash prices additional as you would expect but the bouncy castles and slides were enough for my lot”
Brabyns Park
“lovely park to visit all year round, even better in autumn with the falling leaves”
Worthington Park
“I take my 2 young grandchildren regularly to this lovely park. My only issue is the number of dog walkers, often with several dogs each. As it is a park that is well used by families I feel that dogs should be kept on a lead. Otherwise it's a beautiful local asset.”
Strinesdale Country Park
“Absolutely love Strinesdale foot paths and 2 large Reservoir's that allow fishing. It also has free parking and is that vast of a space you can walk round it and not bump in to anyone. Strinesdale also has a few picnic areas and amazing views out to the Pennines. There are 3 different routes you can take for that casual stroll or if you are looking to explore of the beat and track you can end up right in the hills and come out at a little farm house. All in all this is one of my favourite places to walk my dog and would recommend it to anyone.”
Chadderton Hall Park
“It’s nice park, usually go for a walk with my daughter, she loves it too.”
Waulkmill Waterfall
“If this was in the Lake District it would be a star attraction. Fortunately it isn't, so it remains very quiet and relatively unvisited. The approach from Bollington, past the derelict and dangerous Ingersley Mill, is interesting but worth it. Combine it with walks through Rainow, along Kerridge Hill and a visit to White Nancy and you have an excellent outing. But don't tell too many people otherwise it will lose its quiet charm.”
Clifton Country Park
“Great place. Our two kids loved it. Nice big play area and several different walking routes. Toilets and small cafe in the car park.”
Marie Louise Gardens
“It's a lovely garden with a nice combination of beautiful plants, trees and grass, so if you want a bit sun or run, just, walk your dog or just breath some fresh air this is the right place for you.”
The Fox Inn
“Lovely small pub ideal for walkers. We were lucky to have the sun shining on our visit so sat outside. The barman was lovely and chatted when we ordered - more than happy to help with our queries when we had them. Thanks!”
