“The hotel could do with some updating however there are no real complaints with my stay. Ample room in the car park, the cooked breakfast was made to order with no restrictions on quantities and the staff were beyond helpful, friendly and accommodating. Check-in is normally 3pm however I needed the room sooner due to a wedding and they were happy to accommodate us. Would stay again if i needed somewhere to rest after a night out.”

“Popped in to use the bar as we were waiting for teens to finish a birthday meal across the road. There was nowhere open to grab a coffee at 6.30pm on a snowy December eve. Although we were not dining in we were welcomed as any guest and the service was excellent even if it was for only 2 coffees and a beer. We are looking forward to coming back for a meal soon. “What a lovely restaurant. I went with the In Laws so we had a table of 4. Service was exceptional and they couldn’t do enough for you. Drinks came quick and they were always asking if we are ok. The interior was lovely and a chilled vibe to the place. Having never had Sri Lankan food I didn’t know what to expect. It’s kinda like Indian but more spicier so be prepared. We really enjoyed it. Will go again very soon and will look to see if they do take out because I would prefer it to an Indian on a Saturday night at home. This restaurant was a very welcome surprise you won’t be disappointed.”

“We went to Phanthong for lunch on Saturday and ordered from the A La Carte menu. The decor is lovely. The food was presented beautifully and absolutely delicious. We had young kids with us and they loved the food too, especially the pad Thai noodles. The service was excellent. Would definitely recommend this place and will be back again.”

If you dare try the belly buster it's a sandwich the size of you head filled with all the breakfast ingredients, equally you can pick from a huge selection of sandwiches or just invent your own. “The uramaki rolls and crispy fried squid are fantastic! It tasted like the maki rolls were made using fresh ingredients and were very flavourful and saucy. The katsu roll was our favourite! Good value for money too, with 10 pieces in each maki roll. Would highly recommend this place.”
