“I've been looking for a fully waterproof full length coat for a while and came across the Baleno Kensington which seemed to tick all the boxes. I also ordered a Jack Murphy Erin as a comparison but returned that due to it being less generous in sizing albeit ordering the same size. I'm generally a size 16, 36DD bust and approx 5ft 8 tall. I found this coat in a country store after searching for a while so was happy to try on before purchasing from Hollands country clothing for £30 less. I'm glad I was able to try it before purchasing online as I went for the size 14. The 16 was too big and less shapely on me. This is why I say it's generous in sizing. I chose the brown colour as I felt it was more dirt savvy than the camel which is a lovely colour but not practical for muddy dog walks. I don't have a dog but you do get the occasional dog who wants to jump up and greet you with it's muddy paws. Anyway The Kensington.. This coat is fabulous. It's stylish, comfortable and practical. Even going down a size I am able to wear a lightweight puffer coat under it for extra warmth. The length is below the calf which is what I wanted so water does not drip in to my boots. The sleeves are a good length too and they can be adjusted to be tighter. On windy days I could not feel any drafts. My only criticism of this coat is that the pockets could be a little lower and slightly deeper maybe with a bit of fleece lining for warming hands. I'm so please I have found this coat after purchasing many others in the past that have let water in. Buy one you won't be disappointed .”

“I popped in today to try and get a new end for my walking stick as I lost mine walking to work today. The staff could not have been more helpful and even hough they had none to sell, they provided me with one from a full stick to use till I got home to make sure I could get home OK. They were just so kind and above and beyond. Total stars. I will be taking back a brand new replacement for them from my supply at home tomorrow, but a massive thank you to them all. “I have shopped here many years for school uniform for my children and now my grandchildren. In my experience I have always found the owners very helpful and accommodating. Logo printed polo shirts and sweatshirts are good quality, reasonably priced and wash well. (A must when you have twins in nursery who are budding artists!) A range of sizes readily available including grey trousers in size 2/3 - also wearing well and resilient to knee scrapes. At times of high demand any low stock items have always be sourced in reasonable time with a phone call to alert me when ready for collection. During COVID closures a phone call to the shop resulted in items bagged ready for a doorstep hand over - even the offer of delivery! My mother frequently bought knitting yarn here and was always happy with her purchases. A valued local shop and a very pleasant shopping experience!”
