Dukes Cafe Bar Glossop
“Have only visited here for breakfast. Has to be the best independent café, I have visited in Glossop. Staff are really friendly. Food is five star couldn’t ask for more. The only criticism I would have is there is not many tables, but it’s what I think makes unique.”
Glossop Cafeteria
“Great Fast Breakfast and Full Breakfast. Very reasonably price. Will definitely go back if in area again!”
Taj Balti Glossop
“Our beloved local curry takeaway. Everyone has an opinion on local takeaways, often varied but I can say factually that we have used Taj Balti for about 7 years and have been consistently happy with the quality, generosity of portions, friendly and helpful service, thoughtful touches. My partner is a fussy eater who will stick to what he likes and he rates their vegetable samber as among the best, also their raita, naan, lamb hoppers and chicken pakoras are particularly good. Plenty of interesting dishes to try from chef's special menu if you are a bit more adventurous than my partner. Better value than the other Indian / Bangladeshi takeaways in Glossop without compromising quality.”
Argos Glossop
“Called in for a couple of things, they were in stock so we able to get them there and then. Plenty of free parking right outside the store, so easy to load into the car. Staff helpful and efficient. We'll worth a visit!!”
Glossop Spice Indian
“Food was very good was not disappointed will visit again. Picked up and the lad behind the counter was very friendly.”
Tung Fong Chinese Glossop
“How these guys have such a low star rating is beyond me?? First time we tried them was Christmas Eve and it did take longer than expected to arrive, but it was Christmas Eve so that's understandable. Food arrived hot and was really delicious, they are so different to the other Chinese takeaways and restaurants around and definitely have their own flavour (spicy salt and pepper seasoning, but this is honestly great if you like that moreish spice level). Second time there was one item missing from our order (nothing major, just seaweed, but my partner loves it) and when I called they said they would be unable to come out as they were rammed. About 10 minutes later there was a knock at the door and they had taken the time to drive out and deliver a single box of seaweed (very happy girlfriend). It would be easy to see little faults and give a low rating, but the reason I rate so highly is because they make every effort to give the best service they can and they are obviously popular and busy, its just a shame more people aren't coming on to give these guys a good rating. If you're not sure about these guys because of the rating I say try them and you'll be pleasantly surprised, if you don't like it then maybe consider its just not your style rather than putting a one star rating, they have great food and they really put the effort in!”
Glossop Pizza
“Everything perfect as always. Been using these guys for years (previously located in Hadfield) best pizza/kebab and chips in the area. They also make the best fatayers that aren't on the average menu!”
Distant Hills Brewing
“This brewery outlet and restaurant has a pleasant green setting in Old Glossop with outdoor and indoor seating, helpful staff and imaginative options on the menu, including vegan and veggie ones - a lot of the options are light bites rather than full meals, and of course there are the various house beers. The pictured jerk chicken dish really was divine and as you can see also nicely presented. I liked the chef's dedication and enthusiasm. It's worth going to try some dishes that are a bit different, even if you're not big on beer. On that topic, I haven't the heart to deduct a star for it, but it is a shame that no alcohol-free beer is on offer, and secondly, I once ordered a home-brewed 'Hefeweizen' which is a German-style wheat beer cloudy with yeast in it, and it was served lukewarm. Being firstly German and secondly a refreshing summer drink this type of beer absolutely needs to be consumed properly chilled!”
Tandoori King
“Nice food freshly cooked lovely clean take away best one in town”

Casa D' Italia
“Booked to go again on mother's day. Reasonable prices. Good family restaurant.”
The Windsor Castle
“Called in 4 days ago when everywhere was snowed under and the roads were deadly with ice! The absolutely lovely landlady came rushing to the door and guided us into the warmth. She had one of the staff make a hot coffee for my husband free! I bought a lager and lime which was just perfect. While we were there two paramedics called in to use the toilets; and again, the landlady made them both a cup of coffee free of charge! What a lovely, down to earth lady! The other staff were friendly too. Really nice, traditional pub with wonderfully welcoming staff. Highly recommended! ☺️”
La Corrente Italian Restaurant & Bar

Lee Garden
“A really lovely hotel in a beautiful town , I stop often and staff are really friendly and helpful , the rooms are spotless and beds comfy which is not always the case with hotels , as for the food , not a huge menu but what they do is exceptional . Definitely worth a stay .”
Harvey Leonard's Wine & Ale
“Well, where do I start. It’s great here. Great but… Just a few negatives. Or development points - Only 1 free pint. Pitiful. - my drinking partner made me hurry my drink. I’ll drink when I’m ready. - not enough staff smelled of disinfectant - the noise was too ambient - it wasn’t overpriced enough - the mistletoe was too high - too many urinal cakes - the lady with grey beard behind the bar had a ‘ghost of Christmas past’ vibe Other than that a really pleasant experience. The right amount of gas and stemmed beer glasses too. 6 out of 5 for me.”
Dollys Cafe
“Long-established local cafe with relaxed vibe. Decent home made cake and good tea. Breakfast well cooked and can be tailored to your taste.”
The Rajni
“Had a chicken napali which is the hottest on the menu and boy it lived up to its expectation. Lovely food and great portion sizes and at a very fair price . If I'm ever down these parts again I will be returning. The two fellas behind the counter were a bit odd but in a nice way .I'll be paying for this in the morning but well worth it.”
Raj Gourmet
“Best Indian food in town! We’ve enjoyed all meals ordered from here. Great staff too”
Peels Arms Hotel
“My friend and I decided to visit the peels Arms in Padfield to refresh old distant memories of when we could climb through a hole in the wall. Straight away the landlady welcomed us into the pub. What a lovely landlady, very pleasant and willing to go the extra mile. The pub was warm and cosy with lovely decor. We had a nice meal and were not disappointed , the service was excellent. We don't live locally but will be back sometime with our wifes. Thank you for making our viste so special .”
Windy Harbour Farm Restaurant & B&B

Ruchi Indian Restaurant Bar & Takeaway
“The food here was perfect. One of the best Indians that me and my partner have been to. Completed our last nights stay in Glossop with this meal to finish the week off. It was clean and tidy and everything was perfectly timed with each other 10/10”
Kwei Ping
“Best Chinese in the high peaks As we arrived at kwei ping, we was greeted by this great chap with good banter and a brilliant personality. We was the seated in a restaurant with oriental feel and smooth, calm atmosphere. We ordered an array of appetisers that all came out tasty and hot. We then ordered a platter of mains that came out as good as the appetisers. Overall I would give it top marks in terms of quality taste and price. Would highly recommend and would gladly go again.”
Mans Wok 2
“Lovely food, when it comes to Chinese in the area this is my go to take out. Very friendly staff too, would recommend :)”
